I have a neighbor going through the same thing in regards to the crate. She got a rescue dog about 2 months ago and apparently this dog was crated all the time. She hates the crate and puts a big stink up when put into it; so my neighbor tries to do it as little as possible. Instead, she puts her in the first floor bathroom when running errands.
