Top 10 Stats & UserCP Improvements - 03-04-2007, 04:35 AM

Added a top 10 stats block at the bottom of the forum home page. You will see the top 10 stats for new members, posters, referrers, and reputations. You can also click the block's title to see more or just click this link.

Also, made a few improvements to the UserCP.

See new initiatives: Shoutbox and Members Profiles

Enjoy.

I am curious also as to what Top Reputation means as some of the members on there have never posted.

OK guys - have a look at each individual post. In the top, right-hand corner, you'll see a couple of wee icons. Mouse over them and the right-hand one will say "Report Post"
The left-hand one says "Add to Someone's Names Reputation".
Click this button, and a new window opens. You have the oportunity to either agree or disagree with the post, and to add a comment. This builds the "Reputation".

I gave Linda an "I agree" and a comment, just to try it out.

I am still confused because some of the members on the Reputation list have never made a post, so there is nothing to agree or disagree with.

To clear things up, the default reputation level is 10.

For information on the reputation system, please refer to http://www.gocorgi.com/forums/drop-b...ion-guide.html.

When we view our reputation details, it will only show what was said, but it will not give out the members name?

You also said that all reputation scores will be displayed for others to see whether good or bad - where will that be and what will indicate a bad score?... and a good score?(a higher number)

Well I really hate this reputation thing, It reminds me of a highschool popularity contest and really discourages me from wanting to post on Gocorgi. I try to be helpful and give out good advice but I dont think this reputation thing is really an effective or positive way to encourage people to post...you might not like someone and just give them bad marks just becuase ,or if you like a person it wont matter what they say they get good "marks" .

Stephen i really love this site, and that should show considering how much time i spend here and how many posts i have made but this last idea is not one i care for, and while i am the one speaking up, I am sure there are others who are not real fans of this idea either...

I will be posting less , lest i offend anyone with my advice and get a bad reputation...

Now that stupid song is in my head.......

It will not give out the members name and the little blue box under your name indicates your reputation.

I have disabled giving negative reputation. Hopefully, that will help promote quality posts.

I have to agree with Emilie.
I would hate to think that we would have members that would leave negative reputations for other people, but it would be a bad thing and certainly would cause people not to post.
Glad to see you took off the negavtive reputation, but I still dont see the point in having this option, would rather the whole option be removed.
Have liked all the other changes you have made.
