Advertisements
Though I have been running GoCorgi for four years without any adverisements or financial aid, I realize that relying solely on my ability to afford the server and development costs isn't the best way of insuring GoCorgi's future. Therefore, three advertisements -- top, bottom, and first posts ads -- have been activated (which come pre-loaded with the latest version of vBulletin). Ads in posts will only be shown to guests (unregistered users).

NOTE: Google is generally good at filtering bad ads, but if you see an ad promoting unwanted products or services, let me know. I will blacklist them.

Regards,
Stephen

It is by default on "Instant Email Notification" for the benefit of new users. Current members can opt out of the emails in their User CP under Edit Options.

Stephen,

Is there any way we can go back to the older format, with the new topics at the left, it really is much easier to use IMO. Others seem to prefer it too. (In fact last time you changed it you changed it back to the topics on the left due to member prefrence.)

I understand the "need" for the ads. And if you can choose which ones, then maybe. But to promote irresponsible breeders is IMO a disservice to corgis and those of us who try to be responsible.

Actually I don't think they are. What is a "bad ad"? Obviously they don't know or Next Day Pets would not be one of thier ads. And yes, please start with blacklisting that one. I'm sure I'll have others as time goes by.

And please consider putting the format the way it was with the new threads/posts on the left and all the groups etc. back on the right.

As I said, it wasn't broke, it really didn't need to be "fixed". (I hate the words "new and improved" or "updated". Seems it's rarely as good as it was."

Just wanted to say I do like the new Go Corgi logo with the cute corgi from our icons there! That's a good change and one we need to keep!

I also miss the older format. I liked the links to the left and the ability to go to the new point in the thread. I am really missing that ability and find that I do not come here much as it not as easy to use as before. I do however love having the albums showing up again so we can view others albums...something I did miss with the older format.

That's my vote for some of the older format back.

Thanks,
