I don't work until six pm usually so I have from 3 to 5:30. I want to take full resposiblity. Maybe I could take classes on weekends so it is easier on both me and the puppy. I am still working out all the bugs in my plan, but I figure I have a few months to work it out.

Your 'free' time seems very limited so it is not you who will raise a puppy but your parents. This is not a bad thing so long as all of you are in tune and all of you know what you are doing and ready to share in the wonderful experience and also the burden of caring for a Corgi. A Corgi is just like having a human baby to look after. And their mental age when they are fully developed is generally that of a seven year old human. With teenagers such as yourself, things change so quickly - I don't mean mentally but in what you are doing. Job changes, student activity changes etc. I have just completed a story on 15 year old Chelsea Marriner whi owns five magnificent dogs. She sleeps and eats dogs and her entire schooling has been done from her home. And her parents and brother are very very supportive. So the whole family are engrossed in Chelsea's brilliant dogs - the oldest dog is 13 and sleeps on Chelseas's bed with the other on the floor in her room. Chelsea happens to be probably the best agility handler ever in New Zealand - she was achieving clear rounds with her now 13 year old Brodi at the tender age of seven.

Just as an aside, Pems are generally quicker than Cardis in agility.

That is quite a story about that girl Michael. Being 15 (having 5 dogs)and having accomplished so much, yet having to do her school work. She surely is a dedicated young lady; Most kids of her age are off having fun with their peers and engaging in just typical teen stuff. And she started at age 7
