"Any opinions? Doing it right? Wrong?"

I don't have an expert opinion but if it is working for you maybe it is the right way.

Okay...I am starting to get it.

First, let me clarify. Both corgi's are spayed and the lab has an appointment. The lab is 5 and the last time she saw a vet or had any shots was at her first birthday. It was quite expensive to get her up to date and some medical issues resolved. But with more money in the bank...she has her appointment.

Corgi #1 is Reilly. Corgi #2 is Kate. And no, I am not an only child. But I am the oldest. Also, I have three kids. So...I know how affection has to be spread but I had never applied it to my dogs. I see your point. Now Kate and Reilly alternate days going to work with me. And both are sleeping in their kennels.

Reilly, being the first born, is spoiled and by letting Kate hide in the closet...it seems to have made things worse.

They have been getting along much better since Kate has come out of the closet and is chosing to hang around the family. They both have calmed down quite a bit. I don't know if the spat set the record straight or what. Or the combo of my efforts are making the difference.

I love my corgi's but perhaps too much.

Most of the Go Corgi members with problems have not caught on to the 'cure' as quickly as you have. Well done. You can't love Corgis too much but you can become lopsided with your affection and attention between dogs at the expense of the one not getting same. And even then you have to judge which of your Corgis may for a time at least, need more of your time and care. It seems likely if you keep up with the even handed treatment and take precautionary measures when it come to food, there will be no war between Reilly and Kate.

I had to laugh at this one! We have six dogs and if one appears to be getting more affection than another, the others do get a little jealous. Good luck!

Six dogs - what breeds are they. I have five dogs myself.
