Hi everybody!
I have indeed not posted for a very long time. Here's a question. I have always had cats live happily with my dogs (corgis, labrador and even the chow-chow I had) There was no animosity. My 18 month old male corgi, Taffy, is SO jealous of ANY home comforts which my poor old cat (aged 13) might receive. He terrorizes her and will not even allow her some space in front of the heater in our icy winters. My dear old Tessa corgi who died a year ago, never ever was jealous or vindictive to the cat, so I am puzzled by Taffy's behavoiur. He is very well cared for and received an enormous amount of attention - just as all my pets always receive. Is it because he is an un-neutered male? I've never had one of those before. My other male dog was neutered. Does anyone else have this problem? Why does Taffy hate my cat so much? The other dogs do not! Regards, Marge Alberts |

Taffy may very well hate to have your love shared among others - especially a cat which to him will be lower in the pecking order than are family, other humans, dog members of the family, other dogs.
There are no guarantees that if he was ever neutered, his opinion and physical dislike of the cat will ever change. |
