our pup Gryphon is 7 months old and has also found his voice. I'm a landscaper and in a diferent yard every weak. Gryphon goes to work with me most every day and does fairly well considering I try not to have him on a leash unless to near a road.
But he has desided to start barking at the owners of the yards when they come out. He is now under the impretion that he owns most of the yads in northwest Arkansas.
And I've wounderd alittle about his eye site because he sometimes barks at people he already knows untill he gets fairly close to them.

If I knock on our door when I come home from work, Chip will bark and stare at the door until I enter then he is all wiggles. He can see me through the door but he still barks. Maybelle is our major barker, but Chip will chime in. We live in the country so I am glad they bark. Chip sometimes, sounds like he is a great big dog.

Ace barks at people at a distance as well. He is a great watch dog! He barks at any sound coming from our garage, he barks when my hubby knocks on the wall, he barks at the neighbors arcoss the resaca, he barks and chases the ducks in our yard, he barks at the fast food drive thru workers... the list goes on and on. It is the best bark because he sounds so big and bad with his deep puff bark. And it comes from a 7 month old corgi! I love it! This type of bark seems to be common among corgis. What a great trait!

The Puff, Huff, Chuff, and the Boof barks - my name for this has always been Gruff.

Re Corgis following the person - as mentioned in another thread, Abby will even leave her meal to follow if I leave the room. She does not want to miss out on anything. She also gets very agitated if I close any door inside the house.

Re toileting in the house - Abby has had two accidents since being trained, and I realised that on both occasions it was soon after visitors had left, so obviously something about the visits had upset her. Perhaps she felt she must mark her territory.
