There are closer sheep farms, but she is one of the only ones that use positive training methods. The others, I have heard, are much harsher, and use methods that I know Jackie would not like/respond to. It bears more investigating. As I have mentioned, I am one who likes to research, so that is what I will do . . .

Jessica, that is a very good thing- I am a little nervous now- the place i am planning to take him is up in Connecticut, and while she is in class with me at the novice obedience level ( comp obedience) with one of her smooth collies, and our school practices postive training methods ( no choke collars, e-collars or rough methods allowed there!!!) i still dont know how she is when at home on the farm... I will ask...she is really nice and not so dominant with her dog ( no rough stuff from her, i watch!)
She is far upstate CT though...farther north and east than I am..

For the test it may not make a difference, but never hurts to ask, right?

HEY EVERYONE! I just looked at the Raspberry Ridge Sheep Farm site, and there are pics of Jackie in action! Click in:
http://www.raspberryridgesheepfarm.c...ding%20Seminar
Click HERDING INSTINCT TEST, on the left side of the page, then OCTOBER 2006. There is no rhyme or reason to the pics (you have to scroll through), but there is one of me & her with the other corgi, just standing around waiting, and 2 of her in action with the sheep!!! SO COOL!!!

Great pictures of Jacki and Fluffy P! that had to be soooo much fun for both of you - I am going to need to check into bringing Emma and Chloe next year to see how they do.

I think you should enter a picture of Jacki herding for Michael's action photo contest!
