Taylor variety poses

Taylor at his 3rd birthday party.jpg A delighted Taylor is about to blow out the candles on his cake at his third brithday party - and then get stuck into at least one slice of the Corgi cake. Perhaps he can fit in two pieces.

With an air of sootiness, Taylor poses with his agility trophies and sash. Well earned by a clever Pem

Both lovely pictures Michael. Looks like Taylor is smiling at the thought of eating his birthday cake and could that possibly be you holding him back from diving into a cake with lit candles?

Thanks Bonnie. Linda and Disraeli.
Leigh thought Taylor looked evil in the trophy pose but I saw something else.
The party photo came after he accepted that he had to face up to the lit candles. A few moments earlier, he had eyed them nervously.

One thing they know how to do in NZ is give out some impressive rosettes and trophies! I've seen those belonging to NZ, Australian, American Champion Copperleaf Courtney - they were amazing. Looks like Taylor is on his way to a good collection of his own.

Debbie, what you said about rosettes reminded me of something I did many years ago for a completely different interest organisation. I had not long been involved in comformation showing and a Corgi club and around the same time I joined the Wellington (representative team) Provincial (ie State) Rugby Supporters Club.I was elected onto the committtee of the supporters club and one of the very first things I engineered were large rosettes for every member in the colours of the rep team with the team's emblem on the face of the rosette - the emblem happened to be a lion and the colours black and yellow. Of course the ideas came from the dog world and the ribbon parades I had attended. But on a big game day such as the Wellington team playing the British, South African or Australian touring sides or a top inter- provincial (inter-state) match, there would be many thousands of people with these rosettes. I'll take the credit right here on Go Corgi!

Great pics Michael - Taylor's trophy is beautiful. And he doesn't look evil, he looks proud and regal.
