Jackie got her first qualifying leg towards her APDT RL1 title, and she placed fourth! Okay, she actually tied for 3rd, and then lost the run-off. But whatever, I am proud of her, and her score of 204. Not too shabby for a first-timer!
 If only she had downed when I asked her to, instead of looking up at me with a big grin on her face . . . if only she hadn't sniffed at that sign . . . oh well. Could have been worse! I am amazed that she held it together amidst the chaos and noise of the trial. She is not a fan of chaos and noise. But she did it. And I survived!!!  Just wanted to share my joy and pride!! We don't have rally as a sport/recreation in NZ but we do have obedience competition and that is a dwindling recreational activity here as it might be in most countries. It looks like rally has come along as a more active and interesting form of obedience competition. |
