Saturday I went to the dog show in Raleigh, NC, didn't show just to watch. No brags from Saturday (don't ask about the judging

). One brag from the week of shows though is Berry's sire finished his championship with all points coming from the bred-by class.
Did some shopping; visited with some friends. Saw a 4 month old Pembroke puppy with a dilute coat color - verrrry interesting. Came home; tended to the corgis, fed the humans and was just settling in to catch up on GC when my phone rang. My sister's dog sitter had called her and said that Hattie was having her puppies!

My sister called for me to go over and whelp the litter. We're both in something of a panic as her first due date is not until the 31st and so these baybees are early, really early. I grab a few essentials and MDH and I head out the door. Luckily she's only about 12 miles away. By the time I got there, she'd finished and delivered 4 puppies - 8, 10, 12 and 14 ounces. We have two of each; 2 girls, 2 boys, a blue merle and black & white of each. I get her set up in the whelping room; MDH makes a midnight run to Walmart to get formula supplies - for just in case it is needed. Hubby returns home and I settle in with Hattie and the babies. I "napped" on the hardwood floor beside the whelping box so I could hear all the squeaks and make sure everything was okay during the night. Sadly, last night we lost the little 8 oz black & white girl. She was way premature, probably conceived on the last breeding and Hattie laid on her.

Hattie is doing good and the remaining three puppies are doing great - getting fat and sassy.

These are Munchee nephews and neice (Hattie is his littermate) and Berry's half brothers and sister (they have the same sire).
After being up all night, I just didn't make it on Sunday.
