Points are a part of it and there are some bragging rights that go with the award depending upon where it is won - specialites, Westminister, supported entries, Eukanuba - the win holds more prestige than at most all breed shows.

Thanks for the updates Debbie! I finally got to watch the video this morning. Nice group of dogs in both breeds.

Wasn't the sealy the Euk winner this year too?

I think the Sealy was. Very nice and as it stands now my second pick, I really LIKE the Beagle.

Heard lots about the beagle. See what happens tonight-toys are yet to show, which of course Vicki is a contendor, then the sporting group always has a nice selection.

My friend's bedlington didn't do anything, so now hoping that a fellow show person and her golden can do something.

Uno the Beagle just made our local news. Apparently he is co-owned by someone here in Austin. Since no Corgis are in the running tonight, guess I'll root for Uno.

Thanks for posting the videos MyPemCharlie they were interesting to look at. Is it just me our did a lot of those pems look big. Koda is around 32-33lbs and is a male so according to the standard (max 30 ideal 27) he is to big, but a lot those pems looked at least his size if not bigger.

Well, you know they say the camera always adds five pounds!

I know one of the females is a pretty big girl, but not anywhere near 30 pounds.

A lot of it is grooming for the show ring and corgis can present real optical illusions in regards to size.

I was glad Uno won too. I really liked him and found out after that he was co-bred by someone I know here in Utah.
