Proud of my puppy - 03-20-2008, 06:41 AM

Hi folks, last week I took Nick to work with me. He had a vet appointment at 5:00 PM and it was just easier to pack up the tennis balls, bed, and bones and head to work and leave to vet straight from there. He had a grand old time in the office. 30 architects swooning over him, herding clients, he was in heaven! by 3:00 PM he was tuckered out and curled up next to chair. What a great feeling it is having your puppy next to you all day!

So nice to hear that you have a dog friendly office. Mine is so-so but if I need to bring one of the dogs with me for a mid day vet appt or we are doing a K9 Ambassador program that day, most everyone loves having them visit. Actually there is a crate sitting under my desk now and everyone walks into my office and asks who I brought today.

Eddie by far is the biggest hit and so well behaved. Moose loves it too.

It is nice to have the dog around all day. I home-office, but I think if I had to go get another office job, I'd do my best to find one where Charlie would be welcome. I'd miss him too much! He'd love to have other people oohing and awwing over him.

i so wish i could bring at least one of my pups to school...my kids would go for it alright, but my principal is not a dog person...colby would be best as he would settle down after a bit, cam im not so sure..and i suppose getting my class to do so would be murder....its a bummer....oh well....they all want to meet them so badly...we talk about them every day and i share photos all the time...

People do make a big fuss of cute, cool, cuddly Corgis especially when they appear in unusual or unexpected places. When I was in charge of the YMCA in New Zealand and again as CEO of a chamber of commerce, I often brought my Corgi of the times to work. Now I work from home, it's an ideal situation for a Corgi.

There are plenty of nice dogs around here, and a few others traveling on bicycles, but I think Bailey gets more attention than any of the others. I can pull up outside the bicycle shop and empty the whole building out. On the bicycle forum I belong to, more people want to talk about Bailey than my bikes. I'm glad he is not going to outgrow the basket on his trike.

My boss used the excuse of having a corgi in the office to do his "Queen impression". I had to remind him that Nick is a Cardigan!
