LInda of Corgimom - For all the suggestions I have made on Go Corgi, I'm owed thousands....... haha. The only time I like coke is with rum. It's a ruinous drink - ruins appetites, ruins the taste of food and ruins your insides and outsides (re its weight increasing qualities). Ameicans gave us Coca Cola, MCDonalds and Disney. Only the latter has merit.

But Tab is terrific and he would be ideal for promoting all kinds of things. With coke there is a connection.

A controversial American basketball player/coach I stayed with for a few days when I was a sports journalist at the time, the first thing he did in the mornings when he got up, was to driink coke from a large jam jar. Needless to say his marriage fell through, he retired from playing basketball and his coaching turned sour. What was the root cause. Yea, youv'e got it.

Michael,

While that guy may have drank coke from a large jam jar in the morning, I hardly doubt that it ruined his marriage or career.(unless maybe he was spiking it with alcohol) Obviously, ANY soda, not just coke is not good for our teeth or waistlines if we consume a lot of it, but to me, a cold coke on a hot summer day now and then tastes good, and I enjoy it without feeling any guilt

And Disney is great, but their food that they sell there is not known for promoting health - sodas, fried foods, and lots of fat laden foods.

Congrats Linda and Tab on your stupendous achievement You must be so proud!
And, thanks for the wonderful history lesson on Tab soda. I've never heard of it before but it's fun to read about how Tab got his name and managed to find you. What a happy ending for a super dog

I think Tab soda may be making a comeback . . . I saw it in the grocery store a few weeks ago, with a new design. So there's still hope for Tab's career as a spokesmodel!!!

I agree 100%, nothing like Bacardi & coke. The other day I heard someone refer to it as Rum & Black. (Corry St.)

I did however grow up drinking coke, as my Father drank it everyday. I was surprised when I grew up to learned why it is called that name.

Sorry Linda, I am very Off Tpoic.

Linda of Corgimom - Disneyland is a land of fast food.
Bourbon and coke is not too bad either though I prefer ginger ale with bourbon.
Tab is a big star no mistake. It would be appropriate to 'cash in.' I can vaguely recall a movie star and pop singer named Tab Hunter.

Michael,

Yes, I think Tab should "cash in". He would probably be a great spokesdog for
the company.

If Tab can gulp, gurgle and burp - especially the latter - he'll be a true spokesman. And don't forget a Pem tri is perfect for coke. Lemonade, orangeade and ginger ale can be left to the reds/fawns & whites.

Ummmm I like this idea. About time for me to retire and let the dogs do some of the work. LOL

I suppose I could contact the breeder and ask her what the previous owners name was. Don't know if he's even still working for Coca Cola. And since I don't believe they are selling 'Tab' anymore, I never thought about it.

Here's hoping that some more corgis will join us out on the flyball lanes!!

Taylor was also suppose to be a conformation show dog but an incorrect front (that didn't show up until he was out of puppy competition) let him down, so when he turned two I turned to agility as a way of keeping him in asport competition. Taylor is only starting to get a rough idea of catching, fetching and returning a ball. I would like to try him out with flyball at some stage but I would like him to first get into the second phase of agility - that's what we call here intermediate grade and going for his ADX title.

Really? I'll have to keep a lookout for it. Get some, take a picture of Tab with it and send it to the company. Who knows, Tab could end up in retirement living the life of ease (don't we all wish). LOL

Linda (who never did like the taste of any sodas)
