My own little brag - 06-13-2006, 07:58 PM

Okay, so this is no where near as cool as being the flyball champ or winning best of show, but it's a big accomplishment to me

So, drum roll please...

Dudley went through the tunnel at puppy class today! It was the cutest thing ever. He was a little hesitant at first, but after a few tries, was running the entire tunnel back and forth like it was nothing. He also "jumped" the hula hoop, which was only a little bitty bit off the ground, but he put a little bounce in his step to get over it.
So, I am super proud of my little guy for making such "big" strides even though he has such little legs

Well done little Dudley.
When I took my then two year old Taylor to agility training I thought tunnel - no way. Collapsible tunnel - never. But sooner rather than later he was doing both and off-lead.
Time and treats - and Dudley will be doing everything you ask of him - born to the sport, you'll see.

Dudley, way to go for being so brave.

Cody tried the tunnel twice and went only half way - the other time, a lady
encouraged him with a treat and then he went through. Only 1 dog out of the 10 there went through the tunnel on his own - so good job Dudley!!

What fun news about Dudley and agility! He must have been very proud also! Isn't it great that when your dog has fun you do too? It truly is a win win situation!

I remember coaxing Jackie through the tunnels & hoop the first time. She was not too keen at first, and gave me this attitude like "Can't I just go AROUND it mom? What's the BIG DEAL?" . . . . a dozen hot dogs later . . . . and she's a pro!

They are all big brags. Anytime you have a break thru it's exciting. All the dogs with ribbons and titles started somewhere and those moments of such accomplishments all lead up to the crowning moments.

Congratulations on your agility brag. May it lead to many more successes and brags!

Way to go Dudley!

We bought a tunnel for Ace so we can start training for agility. Ace wasn't so sure about it at first but now will run through no problem. We even curved the tunnel so he couldn't see out the other end after awhile. The funny thing is he only goes in one side (one way) when it's curved. Agility is fun for all! We enjoy doing it and Ace loves the attention and treats!!!

Keep us posted on what Dudley learns next!

Well, today I learned that the suspended tire is definitely not for Dudley. It was suspended higher than he was tall, and needless to say, just not quite possible for little Dudley yet. He did fly through the tunnel as soon as he saw it though, so that's still good
Dudley definitely was just not into puppy class today though. He didn't want to eat the hotdogs I bought him, didn't want to show the class how great he was at laying down (even though he had done it perfectly for a week), and was pretty content just to lay on the cool concrete with his feet splayed out behind him. Silly puppy Of course, the bright spot about his laziness today was that he sat the longest of any other pup for the sit/stay command. He was content just to sit there forever. Go figure
