Congrats to CardiCorgiOwner and Mvons - I loved reading all of the stories - they all gave me a great visual of their dogs predicaments!

Congrats to Kristine - a true winner - and to all those who sent in stories. I'll have to think up something else as a storyline for the next occasion that deserves a competition.
This thread should be referred to often because it will help make one smile when circumstances may not be at their best.

Kristine-After reading some of your "essays" in the link you posted about Riley and Rugby, I wonder if you have been able to maintain your sanity. Have you been put on Ridlin by chance as a result? I especially liked this part about Rugby...

Three obstacles into our run on the practice course, I made the novice mistake of taking my eyes off of my dog for a brief second. Before I could figure out what was happening, I saw Rugby RUNNING FULL SPEED up the teeter plank, which, of course, looks identical to the up side of the dog walk. I’m quite sure there is a Physics equation that could mathematically describe what happened next. Something along the lines of “COV(Corgi Orbiting Velocity)=CLS (Corgi Launch Speed)x TIR (Teeter Incline Ratio). Essentially, the teeter was instantaneously turned into a corgi catapult that launched my 28-pound red-and-white runt headfirst over a distance of, roughly, 20 times the length of his body.

As he began his decent back to earth, his needle shaped nose helped provide the aerodynamic efficiency that allowed him to do a perfect 5 point landing (4 stubby legs and one pointy nose) directly into a rather large ‘horse brownie”. After a brief moment, during which I’m quite sure he was contemplating exactly how-and-why the dog walk had turned into a canine acceleration apparatus, he lifted his head. He was, mostly, unrecognizable; his eyes, ears and nose now covered with offending horse waste.

...simply great!

Maintain my sanity? Who says I have?
I think what my Corgis have taught me is to not take life too seriously. In particular I have learned that if you have Corgis and you choose to compete in any sort of sporting competition, such as obedience or agility, you'd better be willing to smile and laugh no matter what happens. My dogs have had days when they've been very good but they've had many more days when they've been very bad.

And I love them when they're good and I love them when they're bad. They are the best!

Congratulations to everyone for such entertaining stories, and a special thank you to Kristine for providing the link to her Cardi-Corgi Web Site - such enjoyable stories and videos - I have bookmarked this site and shall return often to it.
