Directions...

- Follow Route 1 North down State Street through Portmouth.
- Before going over the bridge into Maine - Bear right.
- Take the first right onto Marcy Street.
- Go past Prescott Park/Strawberry Bank.
- Take your first left - I believe is is Pierce Island Road.
- Go over the bridge, past the playground, past the pool.

I would propose to meet in the vicinity of turnaround at the end of the road. The area is flat with a good play area with plenty of parking adjacent to the play area. There is also very little traffic in the area. There are also some short trails in the area if anyone want to head out there with their dogs.

It looks like we will be having our day at Pierce Island this Sunday at 2. The forecast is for cool but clear weather. I hope all of us in this local area are ready to go. This has been a long week waiting for a chance to meet. Jane

Jane for the WWCWC's walk and picnic we had a cloudy day with a very light drizzle early on but warm enough to wear only a light sweat shirt or even a tshirt - pretty ideal conditions for the Corgis. Hope your weather didn't detract from a successful day - and any two Corgis together from different owners can be deemed a success. NZ is three weeks away from the official start of winter. So our next three Corgi walks will be held on all-weather type venues and instead of picnics after the walks, it will be cafes.
