Click on the Green Doggie Dooley to read about it. Not recommended for areas that have clay soil, which we do. |

I nearly peed in my pants at the Darci and socks story...That was way too funny. Ok so as i mentioned prior, i had to make sure to carry papertowels with me for the purpose of wiping up a messy butt and pants...well, one day last winter, Dillon had the runs something fierce...and we were way too far from our house to go back for something, and he was a real mess...my quick thinking hubby decided to pick him up and wipe his butt for him...in a snow bank! LOL he made a corgi poop angel....while Dillon was not what i would consider clean it was good enough to continue our walk and when i got home he stood in the garage until i had returned with some warm water and wipes.
I was prepared after that, in the trunk of my car i keep a roll of toilet paper, extra poop baggies, a regular size plastic grocery bag, a small bottle of water (16 oz) and a towel and a small first aid kit. This way, if he gets muddy, poopy, dirty feet, small injury, you name it, he can be sufficiently fixed up or cleaned to be allowed back into my car. I too am really a bit OCD about keeping him clean and neat...he lays in my bed, on my furniture, etc, he has to be clean... Emilie |

That is really good advice Emilie, I am not prepared enough in regards to my vehicle other than having the poop bags and some emergency food. I need to carry some wipes and paper towels along also. I thought those baby days were over for me.
I guess I need my own doggie diaper bag.

Amen to that, DillyDoodle, if Miss Gambler wants to be treated like my baby, and sleep curled up next to me, she is going to be deflead, washed, brushed, and fluffed. That's the price of admission to my household. Hey, she goes to Las Vegas!

Oh, Miss Gambler has her own bad, it's a pink SUPERGIRL, and contains food and water, cloths, bags, squeak toy and whistle(to get her attention), tissues, a shirt, hairbows, pepper spray(for any bad doggie or fight that could occur) and vitamins and supplements when we travel. This bag always goes out the door when she goes out. (Does this sound OCD?)

hope you never have to use it. You forgot to mention the doggie perfume all females need this. My daughter once painted my last Pems toenails with hot pink polish.

I am going to be as delicate as I can, but when Miss Gambler uses the treadmill, she has gas(DO NOT EVER TELL HER THAT I TOLD) and I keep a small bottle of body mist in the cup holder to spray.
Also, I hope that was a male Pem. |

Milo has a real baby bag but it looks like a back pack and is navy with a matching plaid flap. (suitable for a boy dog). What is cool about it is that it has a clear plastic removeable pouch that can hold small stuff. In his bag are plastic dog bowls, food, treats, some toys, extra poop bags, baby wipes, extra leash, tie out leash, bug repellent and antiseptic wipes. On the outside it has a pocket meant for a baby bottle but it holds a regular water bottle just fine. I take it with when Milo and I hit the road. It sits by the front door when not on the road. It is so much easier to carry all this stuff in one neat back pack!

How did you ever get miss Gambler on a treadmill? Milo sits on our treadmill like it's a ride and gets flung off....he jumps up, barks like a nut and then jumps on and repeats the process. In other words, to him a treadmill is like a Corgi amusement ride. I wish I could get him to walk on it for some extra exercize on rainy or snowy days. |

Dillon made a poop angel?!? Ha ha ha....
That made me laugh so hard!I (luckily) only have to wipe Rhys's behind occassionally, especially when his pants had gotten really long. I had them trimmed about two months ago and helps keep him neat. I never thought about bringing wipes along on our excursions, just in case. The little things you don't think about...Speaking of poo, has anyone else's pups gotten really into eating leaves lately? Since it's cooled off and a lot of leaves have fallen off trees, all my two want to do outside is crunch on leaves...their poop is now coming out in fall colors.

I am so glad that I started this thread, what laughs! Disraeli, poop in all of fall's glory, that's rich. Milo'sMom: Miss Gambler takes to the treadmill beautifully, never had to train her, very first time and she walked, she goes all the way up to a trot, no leash or anything, just tell her up. We're in hotels a lot, and it's not always practical to walk her, treadmills do the trick, I recommend it to every dog owner. (Ask your vet 1st.)
