This is a discussion on food dislikes within the Diet & Nutrition forums, part of the Health & Wellness category; If Jackie & I weren't 3,000 miles away, we would come to Huw's party!

Here are a few things I spied in responses to this thread.
The recipe for dogs that includes half a cup of raisins - must find an alternative to raisins and sultanas because they are a no no for dogs in that sort of quantity - perhaps dried apricots or figs or currants.
For spinach to be unhelpful for dogs you would have to give your Corgi a whole bowl full at one go. Citrus fruit would be another. Who would do that anyway. Small quantities are as good as anything. I recall when one member mentioned that Broccoli was not good for dogs. Wrong. Broc is very good but not a whole bowl full at a time.
After I wrote a story of a Dalmatian who loves his daily banana or two. I tried it out on Taylor and he ate what was offered to him. But subsequently he just turned his nose up at a piece of the fruit. I haven't tried him on dried banana slices - mainly because I haven't brought any for such a long time. I would say that dogs much prefer fruit in their dried state.
Lovely to hear of so many Corgis lapping up just about everything. Wish my three children were like a Corgi.
You can add tomatoes to that list of food items Taylor doesn't like.

Tomatoes are fine for 'normal' healthy dogs. What isn't fine is the tomato plant.
Nuts are great for dogs. There is only one kind of nut that isn't. but the many other varieties are as good as.
If your going to Chips B'day party swing by and pick me and The Girls up! I feel a road trip coming on!
Then in the summer we will pick up Bonnie, drive cross country picking up Go Corgi girls along the way till we get to Mocha's house.... I am a good navigator
Remember to bring cameras for our pin up pics for the calendar next year. Fluffypants will be all dressed up in her hula outfit and our little boys will be drooling - Sounds like so much fun. We can call it the first annual Corgi Road Trip Bus Convention.
