Unhappy Poopy puppers, ewwww... - 03-13-2007, 06:16 PM

Sunday I decided to give the puppers a special treat. Their first time knuckle bones and I watched them very close.

Well Monday when I arrived home from work I walked into the house with a stench that caused my own tummy to flip, then my mouth filled with hot liquid and began the dry heaves..... Oh great.....

Thankfully I was able to pull it together, I walked around the corner to find the post pittiful looking corgi's coverd in poo..

Egans huge ears were laying down like a weeny dog.

I managed to get them outside very quickly were Egan began to vomit, and God love him liquid poo at the same time.

I let them mosey around the yard until I was sure they had nothing else in them, thinking how in all thats holy am I going to get them to the bathroom and into the tub without getting poo all over the house.

After much panic and pondering I decided I had no other choice but to grin and bear it and just pick them both up at the same time and carry them to tub.

How did that go you ask ??????????? Not toooo goooood.

So now we are all 3 covered in poo, thank the good lord above my gag reflex stayed the course as I got the 3 of us into the shower.

Hubby came home while we were in the shower to the poo stench that has now filled our lovely home.

Thank heavens for sunny days he cleaned the crates, put the bedding in the wash, raised the windows, and sprayed orange spray.

So I love hubby and thank goodness he cleaned up, but now the house smelled like poo and oranges......

All this and it was Egans 1st b-day.....

Poor little corgi's

All is better today.....

The knuckle bones causes that? That would be their last for sure. Too bad I wasn't hubby as I would have loved to have gotten a shot of you all!! Bless your heart.

Cindy ~ What a nightmare! My husband hates when I spray orange spray! He probably would have said, "smells like someone ---- an orange tree in here." Come to think of it, I think he said that a time or two when we were housetraining Zia. I feel really awful for not wishing Egan a happy 1st birthday!

Happy belated 1st birthday, Egan!

Oh I am so sorry Cindy - gag reflex is not a good thing and I am glad that Egan & Darci are feeling much better. You are one terrific corgi mom. Happy Belated Birthday to Egan.

Happy belated 1st birthday, Egan! Hope the pups are feeling better.

I have had the same experience with Buta last year. It was 3am in the morning & I woke up from sleep to the worst kind of poop smell you can ever imagine. I found Buta in her bed (which was clean) & huge piles of poop & vomit everywhere

I used my towel to cover my face & got Buta into the bathroom. I cleaned up all the gooie piles of poop & vomit, switched off my air-con, spray my perfume everywhere, opened all windows & brought in 2 fans in my room.
I then bathed Buta & gave brought her to the pet's hospital.

Vet says that she must have been picking up stuff to eat in the garden, or have been drinking water from the pond....

We had to sleep with my sister for the next 2 nites...

I love love love love loooovvvvveeeee Corgis!!!
I have discovered Corgis ONLY expand SIDE WAYS.

Hats off to your husband. Mine has a bad gag reflex when it comes to those things. Am I a sadist for watching him and chuckling?

Egan is feeling much better tonight.

Darci has had 2 messy poo's tonight required yet more baths.
But just a butt washing so it wasnt so bad.

Going to keep a close eye on my sweet Darci she may have to have a trip to the vet tomorrow.

I gave her lomotil per vet, but with all the intestinal irritation she may have to take some flagyl.

My poor baby girl.

Don't laugh too much at the hubby! In my house, I'd be the one gagging and puking! A girl in my class puked once. My TA laughed because I had ran out of the door before the puke hit the desk!

Cindy ~ I hope Darci gets better soon. Poor girl!

I can sympathise greatly, as the Clog has the most dodgy tummy out and if she gets almost anything other than her normal fodder, she starts right smart at both ends.

We have wooden floors at home, so it's not too much of a drama and my tummy is pretty heave resistant, but it might be a different story once we are in the bus, which has corpet throughout.

Just as an aside, I usually keep her bum-fluff trimmed pretty close to the wee "eye". Makes the clean-ups much easier.

Cindy,

Poor Darci, Egan and you

Sorry to hear of your experience. I give credit to your husband, mine would have been no good in cleaning up; he probably would have passed out

And a late Happy 1st Birthday wish to Egan
