Sassy weight update - 03-21-2007, 03:04 AM

Well we have made a milestone. Weighed Sassy today and she is down to 33.6 pounds. I was really amazed, just stopping the people food treats and that last bite and she is dropping the weight. She has a pronounced waist now and a lot more energetic (though she never really lost her energy level). I am hoping I did not undo all we have accomplished though cause for her birthday we gave her this big ham bone type bone to knaw on for her birthday. We stayed right there and watched her and when I thought she had enough I got her attention away from it and threw it away, but that was her birthday present. She was in heaven as we do not give her bones ever as a rule. It also saved me from having to brush her teeth this week.

Well just wanted to update you on her diet. I am so happy with every pound.

Barbara

You are a hero and a saviour - and Sassy is proud of you. Are you going to set new goals for Sassy or rest on your laurels.

One large bone a week is excellent for Corgis - just cut off all or most of the fat. Just brought Taylor three huge canon bones tonight. Each one will have some of his attention during three days and for the first day he gets it, I only give him a small meal for dinner as the meat off the bone is quite substantial.

Taylor gets plenty of suitable tit bits along with an occasional unsuitable tit bit (such as whipped cream, pikelets) but his dinner is kept to a restraint amount of food and we go big on exercise.
