Eukanuba for Corgis
Eukanuba has a relatively new product called Eukanuba Dachshund which is for adult dogs and comes highly recommended by the producers as especxially suitable for Corgis because of the similar physical characteristics Corgis have to Dachshunds.
This product contains high levels of Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate and has an emphasis on Omega 3. |

Cardigan Welsh Corgis do share the genetic background of the Teckel family of dogs, with Dachshunds. Less so, but still some Teckel connection with Pembrokes. Still, I'm not a fan of the Eukanuba products for my dogs.
First five ingredients in Eukanuba Dachshund: Chicken, Chicken By-Product Meal (Natural source of Chondroitin Sulfate and Glucosamine), Corn Meal, Ground Whole Grain Sorghum, Ground Whole Grain Barley No dog kibble that includes by-products or corn is going into my dogs...but that is, of course my personal bias and choice against these ingredients.

Its not so much anything to do with a genetic background - but more to do with the physical characteristics of both breeds (ie ultra short legs, elongated backs, centre of gravity etc) In any case that Dachshunds or the like are unrelated to Pems has not been proven.

Pre Chip I thought Eukanuba was a great dog food although I had never bought it but after I read the ingredients, I was really surprised with all the fillers in it.

Fillers are absolutely Ok - as long as they are good fillers. But the funny thing is that Eukanuba themselves dispute that they have so called fillers in their products or at least many of their products including Eukanuba Dachshund. Eukanuba state: NO FILLERS, NO PRESERVATIVES etc in Eukanuba Dachshund Adult formula.
