We have recently changed Maxi's food to a weight control with less protein, it is mixed with his old food. When we put his food bowl down he will go and sniff it then walk away. We only leave it down for 10 to 15 minutes and then take it up if he does not eat it. He will eventually eat it later, I have the kids give him his food when they feed the other dogs, so I know that he is trying to get us to give him something else. I am strong, but my daughter and husband are weak, my daughter and husband will sit and hand feed him. I am working on them to see that he is manipulating them, and they have to be strong. I know that he will not starve himself, liked the pile of bones comment, I told my family that he will get used to the new food, Corgi do not have issues with what they eat, on this site we have been told by member that their Corgi's eat earthworms, bugs, etc so I do not think he will not eat until he starves himself. He is also on antibiotics so we have make sure that he eats before we give them to him. Corgi's are very good at making you feel guilty so they can get what they want, you have to be strong against those cute faces and pleading eyes.
