I use the measuring cup also and stick with it; even though it doesn't look like much in the bowl -I know he is growing well.

Deb,

Are we sure Rupe isn't a Cardi who was docked at birth? LOL

Dillon gets fed in a medium size ceramic bowl- He gets 1/2 cup wellness lamb dry mixed with 2 tbsp wellness lamb canned food mixed with 2 tbsp organic lowfat plain yogurt. He gets this twice a day...I do not give cookies very often limiting him to 3 cookies a week but he does get 3oz of bbq lamb per week (for our obedience class training treats) and also gets two granola bones a week ( they are beef shank bones filled with granola, and he works really hard to get his yummy treat. He is 27 lbs but not overweight at all. He comes from larger lines- just ask fluffypants about Ike ( ch XIII Maples Stellar Idea) in the ring he was 31 lbs all muscle! ( now he is about 34 lbs+).

I also walk with him a minimum of 2 miles a day and we play ball two to three times a day for minimum of 15 minutes each time, so he gets his activity, and the rest of the time he sleeps and naps, and snoozes ! LOL. I weigh him monthly and adjust his food accordingly so he wont get to be overweight- mostly becuase of health issues associated with obesity- I just want him to live a long and healthy life!

Besides their 1/2 c of dry food & pumkin each day, I alternate with yogurt, fruits in season and some vegetables. Apparently carrots, celery etc do not get into the dog's system unless they are well broken down. I have started putting the fresh veg into the blender with the canned pumkin & a bit of water. Too soon to see any results, but they are enjoying it.

As is is Sunday, they each get an egg, not the sausage or toast though.
