Long Line

I need to go get a long line for my puppy Bernie to begin training a recall. I haven't seen any long line type stuff in pet stores and the only thing I can think that would be similar is a horse lunge line which is easily found in any tack shop.

Has anyone found something else that worked better than a horse lunge line?

I have a 20 ft long leash that works well. I think it was purchased at petsmart but it is the same as a lunge line for horses. I would just make sure the snap isn't to heavy for your corgi. Did you try walmart? They may have it also.

My 20 ft came from Petsmart also. Comes in very handy!

I found a special rope that I use for outdoor training, and water training - it floats, the one i got was 30 ft long but they have it in the 50' too. I got mine on-line at http://www.erinsedge.zoovy.com/product/MEN003SUPER This site has a lot of great stuff too...for all breeds ( they specialize in labs)
The rope may be a bit much for a small puppy...but great for training to swim and such...I will be using it attached to Dillon's collar in the kayak ( he has a life vest too) and that way if he jumps out ( doubt he will) he wont wash away ! I have a life line to drag him back ...

I ended up going to a tack shop this afternoon and found a lunge line with a relatively light snap that I'll try. Its cotton. Its pretty long too, so I'll have some length to play with (I think its like 30-45 feet long). For $16 I think it was a deal.

It'll be nice letting her romp around in the grass with "pseudofreedom". Hehe.
