Peeing on command...oh, Lord-don't let PETA get hold of that one!...knowing how they think.

Well, we don't have an electrode on his "you-know-what" or anything. Chrotle, chortle. Those folks at PETA - puhleeze!

I feel your pain. Just be patient and consistent. 8 months is still pretty young, it can take up to a year or two...it really depends on the dog. Milo was 100% housebroken in a year.
Now if he would ever have an accident it would be because he is ill. Now my struggle is him peeing in OTHER people's houses!!!! (that have a dog, but I think that is a marking thing, not a I-have-to-really-really-pee-bad-thing...at either rate it is a whole different issue).
Good luck!

I know exactly what you mean about peeing in other people's houses. Chip did that at my sister's when he was younger. He also peed once at Petsmart. Just raised that little leg and I hollered the aaaargh noise and he hasn't done it since thankfully. The first time we took Dale on the boat, he peed. The first time I took him to my daughters to play with her new pup, he pooped. Embarrassing.

Look on the bright side, Bonnie. And least he didn't pee all over the Christmas presents and the Christmas tree...my brother-in-laws Pug, Pugsley, found the need to wish everyone a Merry Christmas his own way

Dudley wasn't fully potty trained until about a year. We had a few accidents when we got Maya, but he got it back under control and he's been good to go for a while now (crossing my fingers.) He does pet and wet occasionally, but I don't count those
