When Cody and I first start walking, he will do his long pee and then along the way, will stop about 3 or 4 more times, with only about 2 drops coming out each time.

Thanks for the positive comments...I really thought I was expecting too much, but I've never done the puppy thing, and he's so smart, I don't know what to expect. I think the hardest part is training my boyfriend. He says he's going to watch the dog, and then he gets caught up in a TV show or falls asleep and the dog gets away with whatever. When I'm home, it's every 90 minutes and about 20 minutes after he eats and after every nap. The bell on the door sounds like a good idea, and worth a shot. Funny thing is, I think he knows the difference between pee and poo. I'll tell him to pee and he does, I'll tell him to poo and he does. Potty doesn't seem to make sense though. He's too smart for his own good. Not sure where we'll move the cat tree, but it's a good idea too. Wal-Mart carries this stuff called Kids-N-Pets (in the laundry detergent section) that is kick butt. It takes out everything (even old old stains). Ok...as long as I know I am expecting too much, I will take it easy. Thank you guys!!! I can always count on you.

Shippo started lifting his leg at 14 weeks. >O_O< He's nearly 9 months old now. He's only lifted it in the house twice - once when I was at work and asked my boyfriend to un-crate him and watch him for a while (which he obviously didn't because Shippo snuck off and lifted his leg with nobody around to stop him), and once when my grandmother was over and let her pekingese pee on my carpet (twice). Although I shampooed afterward, he could still smell something, and lifted his leg right there. Luckily, that time I was able to catch him, stop him, and stick him outside. I swear, her dogs are a bad influence. >-\/-<

Oh my...guess what...Huw started lifting his leg!!! He'll be 12 weeks old on 10/19. Justin thinks it's so he doesn't step in it...but I know he's lifting his leg!!! My little boy is so awesome.
There should be some training class for boyfriends to go to so they can learn how to watch a dog. I swear...mine does the same thing. Luckily, Huw is box trained, and if the box is in the house, he'll use it, that only happens when my boyfriend has fallen asleep on the couch and does not crate Huw. Drives me NUTS!!! Dog needs to learn that the box will not always be there...and b/f needs to stay awake!!!
