Stephen:

I am posting this publicly because I think this is an important issue to all of our corgi members. First of all I want you to know how much I have enjoyed this site and I thank you for starting it. The people on here care so much about their corgis and are good people. I have learned so much about corgis and that knowledge has helped me with Chip. I have made good friends here. However, I am very upset over the post that Michael just made under the thread Miss Gambler's Mommy when that thread has supposedly been closed to all posting by you. In fairness to the rest of us, we are unable to reply but Michael is abusing his moderator power by posting simply because he can and this is one of the reasons why myself and others have asked you to assign a second moderator which so far you haven't done. I believe conflicts should be resolved openly and honestly. I do not believe that snide remarks should be made with the intent to aggravate people especially by people that are supposed to be supervisors. Therefore, I am taking a vacation from Go Corgi.

I myself tried to post to the thread that is now closed, but could not. Michael, Miss Gambler was not "posing" as Corgi talk as a joke - she was not trying to pull the wool over anyones eyes. She emailed me this morning and informed me that she could not log in under her original name; MissGamblersMommy, and was upset about that, and she said the response she got was something to the affect that her account had been disabled. She said she tried to register under 3 new names and could not.

How she finally got on as Corgi Talk, I do not know; but she wanted to let everyone know what was going on. I have not heard from her since this morning or whether or not she has spoken with Stephen through a PM. I personally hope that she is not being banned from this forum. I happen to like her and think she has a lot to offer and enjoy hearing her stories of Miss Gambler.

I hope this can be resolved, whatever is happening and Bonnie, a vacation sounds good right about now.

I too am supporting MGM on this one. I have communicated by email with her today and she was very hurt about being shut out. She said she didn't care about whatever may be going on, if there was something going on behind the scenes here, and that was over and done with. She was so happy to have found a group of people who love their dogs as much as she, and who loved talking about them.

In the imortal words of our so called mission statement:

FOR THE FELLOWSHIP AND SUPPORT OF CORGI LOVERS

I would like to have MGM back to enjoy her fellowship and to support her.

Virtual and real vacation sounding good to me too.

I hate it that it has come down to this....people leaving the board. I've really enjoyed talking to others about our babies, too. I've become addicted to this site, checking it out 2-3 times a day. I hope that MGM will come back and that everyone else stays here...I'd hate to be left out of the loop with all of you. LOL!! I feel like I know many of you and your babies.

I too have gotten an email from MGM this morning, she stated and I hope she does not get mad at me for posting her message to me:

I appreciate you taking the time to write, and just so you know, I have truly been shut out, not making it up, I don't have time for those type of games, and I really do miss the site. I am not the type of person who stirs up trouble, I am the type of person who speaks up, that's the Irish redhead in me, and I truly feel that I had every right to have made the comments that I did. Why did my comments warrant such action, that's what everyone should be asking themselves??? I can log on under MissGambler'sMommy, but not allowed to do anything. I get a message saying that the administrator has disabled my account.

This site has become an addiction to me, my family jokes me about being obsessed and I am. This site is wonderful, it offers very helpful information for those that are new to Corgi's. We have a range of opinions on this site from people who have been around Corgi's in best of situation and thoses who have seen them in the worst of conditions and offer their opinions and that is what they are peoples opinions and every one has one. We speak from our experiences and give our opinions as to the out come of those experience. No one has to agree with someone's opinion and can give an opposing opinion, but no one should be condemmed for giving their opinion. If you do not like it do not take it, that is your choice. Stephen you said that this site was set up by you to learn more about how to training your Corgi's and it has now become a site for everyone to learn about all things Corgi. The internet is a wonderful place but it is also a place filled with dangers and dispicable people, but so is real life and you have to make your choices carefully and learn from your mistakes. Stephen I hope that you will restore Miss Gambler's Mommy access if you have not already and contact her by email when it is restored so she can rejoin this beloved community. I also hope that you will add at least one more moderator to the site it is always good to have a tie breaker. Even though I have never met any of the members on this site I have grown to love all of them, their Corgi's and other pets and would be very sad if they started to disappear out of frustration. As I said before this is my opinion and no one has to agree with it but this is how I feel. Go Corgi is a site for the knowledge, friendship and support for all devoted to the well being of Corgi's. I have spoken from the heart and mind and will know wait and see wahat happens to this wonderful site.

Well I have been away from the site for a few days. My dad has been in the hospital with a pneumothorax, 80 % colaspe of his right lung, with a chest tube.

What in the world is going on ??????

I personally feel that this site has become a bit too "dramatic" over the past few months, and this is part of the reason I have posted less and less as time goes on. Aside from the one, superior moderator (and I agree with the majority of members that there should be more than one), other people seem a bit oversensitive at times, and it seems that the same arguments are frequently repeated without any resolve.
When I first joined the site, it was to learn as much as possible about the wonderful breed of the corgi, but I'm afraid that without change, this site will tumble into internet obscurity and that would be extremely unfortunate.

Right, wrong, good, bad or indifferent we all have our opinions. I do think that MGM doesn't deserve to be locked out if that indeed is what happened. She never used profanity, or did anything except perhaps voice an opinion. A person shouldn't get kicked out for that....if that is the case we are all in trouble!

I things can get resolved and she would feel welcome to come back. This is a great site and i've enjoyed being here.

Ditto Jeni D's comment on the dramatic tone of the site from time to time.

I truly enjoy reading about your corgis, and posting about mine from time to time.

As for the moderator issue, I don't really care how many there are. They sometimes don't have the nicest tone, but I don't write to them or for them, so it really doesn't matter to me.

I come here to read about corgis, to ask questions when I am worried about something, to share some of my corgi stories and to enjoy gaining wisdom from other corgi owners with more experience than I.

It's hard to believe there can be this much controversy on a site devoted to a breed of dog that we all love! ... I hope this site can "weather the storm," as I would hate to lose it.

I am wondering if the "technical quirks" or whatever has been going on in regards to MGM not being able to get on is being worked on?

I have spoken with her through email, but she has not heard from anyone(and it has been 5 days), in regards to why she can't seem to access the site anymore. She also said she cannot even create a new "member name" and re-register, so therefore, cannot even send a PM to find out what happened. Her computer is working fine.

Is someone working on restoring her Original posting name for her? or if something is wrong with her Original posting name, why can't she create a new one? These are things I know she would like answers to, but can't ask.

Since we have to provide our email addresses when we register, we know that you have it available to you.

Michael or Stephen, Can one of you at least email her to let her know what is going on in regards to restoring her account?
