I wouldn't be too concerned about feeling compelled to delete these images of very young pups. I don't consider any harm has been done. Some members of Go Corgi are bound to over-react.

Michael,

You don't post your articles you write on this site; you tell people that if they want to read them, they have to email you. Unless she agrees to it, how do you know if a breeder would be okay with pictures of her litter being posted?

Show photos are copyrighted and belong to photographers. Many, many, many breeders have notices on their websites stating all materials belong to them and copying is not allowed and they will go after people who lift photos from them. I know some who have. Personally, any photos I post here are not public domain - they are mine to share where and with whom I choose. I would hate to see GoCorgi and Stephen get in trouble because of poor judgement and lack of respect.

Okay, I have no clue what's going on here. But from the gist of posts, here's my 2 cents. Not meant to be inflammatory, just my humble opinion.

1> Any pictures posted without permission from proper authorities is illegal. Period. It can mean repercussions to this site, the moderators that were negligent and potentially create many headaches for the site owners.

2> Every board I have been to, moderators are detached and while they do post, they stay out of conflicts, put personal feelings aside and follow rules of the forum. Period. To do otherwise, and show any form of preferential treatment is creating unnecessary issues, bad feelings among members and will lose you subscribers/members. Flirting with, siding with and egging on conflict is not something that should be seen on any forum. You lose respect for your position and authority.

I have not been here long, but so far I have only seen well-meaning members trying to guide, advise and assist other members. There are those that don't listen, and that is their choice. The QUESTION that remains for all of us, is once they have already made their choice, how can we now best assist them? Make the best of what some perceive as a bad situation. Such is the nature of the internet beast... are they telling the truth? Are they trolls? How often to you put yourself out there to assist, only to be shot down not just by a poster, but by management too?

And I have seen glimpses of gross ignorance, from... lets just say there is a lot of foot-in-mouth syndrome here by a few. People getting up in arms and upset, most incidences provoked by someone in a position of authority. I see it as an abuse of power, however, I don't pay for this site. It's free. There-in lies the key. If I so badly want things to run my way, I will have to start my own forum.

[b]As for behinderhereyes, a word about forum rules.[b] Be very careful how you tread the waters, watch rules closely. Don't pee in another mans pool.

And if you have problems that are technical in nature, please do not spam other members PM's for sympathy, assistance or attention. To do so, constitutes harassment. Something I take very seriously. You have a problem, on ANY forum, not just this one, take your complaints directly to the moderator in a private manner. You should never air them on the board, this is what the PM feature is TRULY FOR.

Thank you,
Grace

Not that I am a professional photographer or anything (just a hobbyist), but I would hate for my photos to be copied and used somewhere without my knowledge. For photographers, that is their art. Same as someone copying a painting (or, to make the point hit home, plagiarizing their article) and passing it off as their own.

The age of the puppies has nothing to do with this person posting the photos. It's very simply that they do not belong to her and if she did not get permission to use them for anything beyond checking out what the puppies look like, it's not right.

I am surprised that a "professional writer" who does not post his own writings here for fear of plagiarism and theft supports someone pretty much doing the same thing with images that do not belong to her. Mmmm, what's good for the goose doesn't seem to be good for the gander in this case.

And once again, I commend Mrs. Grace, for the good grace in which she put in her "2 cents worth" - of which the value is far more then 2 cents!

Hats off - or helmets off to you Mrs. G.!!!

BehindHerEyes: There is a distinct difference between people complaining and people attempting to help prevent others from stuffing up their lives. No one is telling you off - just trying to help you see reality.
Do you really not see this?

Thank you for your post MrsGrace.

I did not see a clapping emotion or I would have used that one.
