I don't believe in unlimited private messages through Go Corgi because it interferes with the interface of our site. So if there is a limit, I am in favour of it. I was not in favour of unlimited chatting either. It should be reserved for special occasions such as once monthly or two monthly or for special topics on a once every so often basis.

I won't comment on this one, but people that know me, know what I want to say; I need to go call my friend Norman

That's because there would be less complaints in your box.

No that is totally untrue, Linda. Haven't you been following this thread. It appears that I have no limit so that I can receive private message correspondence.

I have been following it thank you. You don't believe in unlimited private messaging for Go Corgi members. Therefore, if a limit was given to each of us, I would imagine there would be less build up in your box to deal with. I think it was you who said you went from 260 to 310 in one day.

awww.where did my post go? Was it too rude? I didn't call anyone anything worse than another certain someone. I was going to PM you Michael but I beleive it was you who said "I don't believe in unlimited private messages through Go Corgi because it interferes with the interface of our site."
I'd hate to interfere so can you tell me why my post was deleted?

No Linda you are wrong again. I said I had around 260 when I actually had 310. Never said I went up 50 in one day.

Now now Linda... give it up!

He is NEVER wrong you know... You will never be right, and never win with your thought out and clear logic.

There is no sound so loud as that of a mind closing.

In what way or ways? and please be specific. In certain situations and with some topics private messaging is the prudent way to go.

There are many forums, lists on yahoo for example, which have chatting at least once a week. On those lists/forums what chatting has done is serve to build further bonds of comaraderie and in fact strengthens the list/forum. It gives fourm members a chance to get to know each other on a more personal level, if they wish. In all situations I know of that chatting is done on a fairly regular basis, it has done nothing but strengthen the forum/list.

I agree Debbie, the Chats are a great way to further the members bonds with each other.

I was away for a bit, did GC have a chat set up?

Are we limited because of the time difference? Or are we allowed to chat unmonitored?

I don't know about chats here Barbara. I know there were a whole lot of disappointed people when Yahoo stopped its chat feature. The rescue list used to get together every Friday night and we had a blast. Pembroke-L still does one using an online room.
