Problems posting & contactin g support - 02-01-2008, 07:26 AM

Hi! I too am having problems contacting support. I registered to join 1/23, activated my account, and recieved a message that I was in the moderation que. I am not able to post my introduction (or any thing else, except in this forum) or access most members only content. I have notified support , the Administrator, and emailed the contact address I received from gocorgi when I registered. That email bounced back as undeliverable. I would really like to join the forum and would appreciate any help anyone can offer to tell me how to resolve this.
Thanks in advance!

Question Techincal Support - 02-02-2008, 08:22 AM

Does anyone know if the recent hack affected contacting support and the Administrator? I know things happen, people go vacation, etc, but 8 days is kind of a long time to wait for a response, IMO. Also, does anyone know what the moderation que is?

doesn't sound familiar to me....
and we've had new members since the hack,
so who knows what's going on!?
But welcome to the site,
hopefully everything gets fixed for you soon!
We love to see pictures.

LaRouge,
I was a member before the hack, and I cannot get my photos to go through no matter what I do, so far. I've resized, zipped, compressed, everything I can think of and each time it says
"An error occurred while attempting to create a folder for your files. If the problem persists, please notify the webmaster" and when I click on the "webmaster" link to email, it comes up as a html addy www.gocorgi.com....not an email addy.
screwy
Good luck!
Wynn

Wynn,

I'm about to give up, myself.

I didn't register until after the hack, so maybe that is why you can post and I can't. I'm not able to do much of anything. Orginally, I thought the problem was on my end...I'm not the shinniest apple to fall off the tree when it comes to computers any more and I also have wonderful (not) AOL. It has caused me to get bumped off of other corgi forums in the past-thankfully I'm upgrading to FIOS Fri-YEAH-and can re-subscribe to Corgi-L. It's just not the same with out pics, though, and this forum is formatted similarily to another I'm on that has kind of gone south lately.

Anyhow, I've just sent a PM to the Moderator and maybe that will help. I hope you don't mind that I included the information that another member was also having trouble contacting support so maybe the problem lies there. I just think 11 days is a LONG time to wait for someone to notice. There have been quite a few new members since then and I'd like to know what the heck is going on and what the moderation que is!! Maybe it's a check to see if I'm worthy I have to give fingerprints and do FBI background check for work, but a corgi board Hopefully, I'm way off base and there is a simple reason.

Anyhow, I'm ranting now, so better go. I'm just mad I can't post pictures of my boy and talk about him!!! Maybe the Moderator will be able to point me in the right direction to get some help.

Have a good Night!

Good luck. We'd love to see your pictures too! I'm sure it's not a Corgi version of an FBI investigation. LOL Hopefully they'll get all the bugs cleaned up soon for everyone who's having problems.

I was being a smarty pants out of frustration from not receiving a response from support/Admin for help. I apologize if it came across as serious comment. I'm sure it's something simple (and a high probability on my end).

Since I'm not the only person who's been trying to contact them (and "they" seem to be a computer rather than a person) without success, I really DO believe there may be a problem with the site in that regard. Anyhow, Moderator Michael sent me a very nice and prompt reply and is going to try to get me some help. Hopefully I'll be able to join the forum soon!

LOL I saw that you were joking, and my "FBI" comment was also a return written just in jest. I too, hope you can get "full priviledges" soon.
