Datbase error

I've been getting database errors on the forum the last couple of days. The message I receive states gocorgi has been notified, but I'm wondering if anyone else been experiencing them? When I refresh the page as instructed, it works. I'm going to try a different computer this evening.

It's not your computer. I've been getting them too, as well as posts taking a long time to upload. Seems like there have been more problems since the site was hacked (twice) this year.

Count me in on the data base error messages. I've also found if I just do a quick reply, it takes forever to upload, if it even will. IF I hit quote and then do a response, things go much faster.

Thanks for the replies! Glad to know I'm not the only one. Things seem even worse on this other computer.

I am taking an unofficial poll of how many people are having trouble with this site and then going to try to get something done about it. It's barely functional for me, and since I've used 2 different computers, networks, servers, and have security software out the ying-yang (coming up with NOTHING), I think it's the site. If you're getting data base errors, slow loading, or any other problems, post it and I will count them up, and try to get in touch with some one about it. I want to be able to have some figures, though, like X number of people are having problems A, B & C.

I'm getting the data base errors, the slow loading and sometimes when I select a thread to read, it comes up with a blank screen.

Haha! When I clicked on this topic to read the updated posts...I got a "database error".

Also slow initial loads when reading or posting.

Ditto here! It happens on my computer at home and the one at work.

Yup - see it also...

Issue seems to be a server side problem.

My background - An Engr Testing Web Based Network Managment applications for about 10 years.

If a page takes more than 10 seconds to load- that's bad....

But keep in mind folks - this isn't a pay site....

Not sure what time Steve has to looks into the problem - could be as simple as a server restart

This website has been on go-slow for some weeks now. Often the website advises that there has been an error or whatever, but your entry still occurs correctly.
I suggest that since any member can contact Stephen, the owner/admin, in the same way as i can, they should send him an email and hope that eventually he will read it and respond.

I've done that and each time I've gotten a data base error, it says gocorgi admin has been notified. I'm guessing that means it's automatically sending reports of the error messages? As Moderator, you don't have any magic juju to get in touch with tech support and/or Stephen? Are tech support and Stephen one and the same?
