How to Attach Photos to a Post

There are 2 ways to display photos in a post.
  1. Attach the photos which this tutorial is about. Attached photos are stored on the GoCorgi server and thus use storage space provided by GC.
  2. Link to the photos hosted on another server or photoservice like PBase, Imageshack, etc.
To attach the photos to a post, they must meet these 2 requirements.
  1. Must be less than 5 mb in size.
  2. Must not exceed the dimension of 800 x 800 pixels.
These requirements are in place to conserve storage space which is not unlimited.

If your photo meets the 2 requirements, it is time to upload it to the server. To do this, scroll the "New Post" form down to the "Additional Options" section. In that section, you will see a button named "Manage Attachments" in the "Attach Files" box. Click on that.

Upon clicking on the "Manage Attachments" button, a new window will pop up. Click on the "Browse" button and locate your photo.

Once you have found your photo, click upload. This will upload the photo to the server.

If you have problems uploading the photo, make sure that it does not exceed filesize and dimensions limit.

If all goes well, you may close the "Manage Attachments" window and return to the main form. Next, scroll down to the "Additional Options" section and verify that the photos have been attached.

Congratulations! You have attached a photo to your post.

Just thought I would bring this thread up for our newcomers and for anyone having difficulty understanding how to post pictures.

You can read Stephen's(The administrators) directions below. This would be on how to attach pictures to one of your posts to a thread.

The problem is, I can't get the Manage Attachments box to open with the browse/upload function. When I click on it...nothing opens so I can choose and upload. Oh well, past my bedtime.

Today I went through every program I have that could cause problems with this and I can't see any that are. The "Block pop up windows" are unchecked in Firefox and I have this site listed in Zone Alarm Pro. Those are the only two I knew may be causing the problem. Surely, someone has had this problem before. I feel like it's a simple solution but, I just can't find it.

Before heading off to bed tonight, I decided to try one more thing to get this problem resolved. I did a complete uninstall of Firefox and then did a clean reinstall. Guess what? that fixed the problem!!(knock on wood). Some file must have gotten corrupt at some point and wouldn't allow certain features to work. Nevertheless, I hope this may help someone else who may have this problem int the future. Just uninstall your browser and reinstall. Worked for me!!

Sorry, I spoke too soon. It doesn't work here but did at another computer forum I go to. They have the same set up as here and it worked but it still doesn't here. I give up.
