I have never heard of that movie but it sounds great. Any movie with a corgi has got to be wonderful!

There has been a heap of movies with Corgis - Pems and Cardis - featured. But Little Dog Lost was the one Television Movie that popularised Pems in the USA in particular. I have yet to see this 1960s movie - but hope still remains.

Jim and Bethany,
I fell in love with Corgis after seeing this movie. It is an oldie but I am sure it will be just as lovely to see it again. I never was able to get a Corgi until my brother's dog passed away and I had room for a dog of my own. So, after forty years I have Duchess! She is just the same as the corgi in the movie. Skittish of unstable articles such as brooms.
Little Dog Lost is sometimes played on the Disney Channel but I haven't seen it myself since the first run. If I knew when it was to be on we could tape it.
I am beginning to lose faith that Disney will ever release this movie on VHS or DVD, but the more of us that request it the more chance that they will see the light.
There is a vast audience of dog lovers who would enjoy this movie, not just Corgi people. I think Disney could make a bundle of money on rereleasing it.

HI T-Gal! Though I haven't seen the movie, a quick web search provided the following info:
Little Dog Lost: TV Movie 1963
This is the story of Candy, a very young Welsh corgi puppy who is bought by a couple as a pet for their children, Bud and Katy. The parents begin training Candy almost at once and the dog seems to settle into the household without difficulty. Problems begin, however, when Candy is about four months old. The dog becomes terrified of brooms, associating them with punishment, and runs away from home.
Movie information from "The Wonderful World Of Disney Television: A Complete History" by Bill Cotter. Copyright © 1997 Disney Enterprises, Inc.
Ch. Bundock's Rover Run Concerto, UD, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, starred in Disney's Little Dog Lost
2 summary blurbs found:
1) The story of Candy, a little Welsh Corgi, who's raised by his family from a little puppy. But when he's grown up, he gets lost, has adventures, and learns to herd cattle before he's reunited with his family...only that's not where he wants to be.
2) Little dog gets lost and finds a friend to share his journey with. Together they meet an array of characters that change both of the dogs lives. Through many trials and tribulations they finally find what they want most out of life...
