In some previous post I created, I mentioned Milo doesn't like to go potty in the rain. I also mentioned his "grandmother" would make him a raincoat. Guess what guys? His grandmother made him a homemade raincoat!!
![]() It even has a hat! ![]() When the floors were refinished, he blended in with the wood! ![]() His "grandmother" is actually my future MIL (mother-in-law). I'm very sure she loves him more than me. Btw, those are NOT my feet. That's my giant future husband's feet. My fiance is like 5'11 and Milo is like 1'. When they play in the park in the summer in far distant while I sat down on the bench, the grass covered Milo and all I could see was my fiance running around oddly. That was the funniest sight. Thought I would share that.I'm thinking maybe my mom can make him a sweater and bootie set now for winter.

Linda: Milo tried the coat yesterday. He had to squat a bit harder for pooping but overall, was great. Yesterday in NYC, it rained terribly. I was soaked but Milo had the raincoat to go potty. Just in time for the unpredictable Fall weather. Milo didn't bite or wrestle with the coat so we're happy. That's one thing he doesn't bother us about.
My fiance was driving home and out of nowhere a deer came out. The deer got hit at only 30 mph. The deer escaped and ran off. There were more injuries to the car than to the deer. He got home and tried to fix the bumper. Milo kept trying to steal the nuts and bolts and other parts of the car. Sigh...a long day it was. -- Mabel |

Beautiful pics of Milo - he reminds me so much of my lil Chip. I can't get over how much they look alike. They could be brothers. Glad to hear your fiance was not hurt. Hitting a deer is scary.

Linda: You are not only a loving corgi owner but a loving mom!!
Bonnie: Milo and Chip should meet one day. They ARE practically like brothers. Can you post some more pictures of Chip so I can see the resemblance? I see that their graze is very similar. Milo doesn't have a white collar but has a patch on his neck that looks like a fish/star. TN isn't TOO far from NYC! =) Where did you get Chip from, Bonnie? |

I got Chip from Kentucky - I would love to see Chip and Milo play together. Chip is a sweet boy and I think they would play well together. I will try to post some pics tonight.

Bonnie: Chip is definitely a sweet boy from good ol' Kentucky! Milo is originally from Pennsylvania. I think Chip might be a sweeter boy than Milo until we take him for some training to cure his aggression. So far, we found a trainer close by! I'm having my fingers crossed!

Raincoats for Corgis whoi don't enjoy walking in the rain ( "Just walking in the rain, feeling sad and blue, gosh, I'm getting wet and so is my mom too") are kind of cute, but in all honesty, fresh rainwater is actually very good for a Corgi's natural coat and their skin. My Taylor likes his face dried first before he comes in out of the rain. So perhaps you should prop a little umbrella above Milo's head to keep the rain from falling on his head ("Raindrops keep falling on my head............").

Milo is soooo cute! It appears that he is really showing off the coat for the camera, he looks so proud. Miss Gambler is crate trained with a litter box(the only thing that solved bad habits in her crate as a puppy) and she is so clean and dainty that when she is outside, she refuses to go, she'll hold it. I take her back and forth to Las Vegas with me when I commute for work and even though she is so very used to the trip and to the exact same stops(so frequent that she is known at a little diner outside Death Valley) she still refuses to go outside, she gets all huffy and looks at me as if to say,"You want me to do what?" She'll just sit and give me the stare-down. Including stops, it's a ten hour trip, and is she ever so happy to get in her crate once we arrive. I read somewhere once that corgis are the clowns of the dog world. That sums up Miss Gambler perfectly.
Take care, and love your corgi! |

Your Milo is a sweet boy also. You can tell from his pics. Look at his eyes. He says love me, I am a sweet boy.

Michael: I tried the umbrella trick on Milo. It works a bit but he's still hesitant.
Missgambler: Your corgi is very cute too! Milo used to do that - won't go potty outside. Now, all he does is go potty outside and not inside. We had pee pads before. Bonnie: From Milo's eyes, it's more like "I'm a good boy. FEED me." Lol. He stares at us constantly for food. He's even gives us his hand for food. T-gal: So sorry to hear about your friend and your former boss. I know deers are not to be joked with. They really make an impact on the car and everything. I'm glad he's alright. Milo loves his daddy a lot! |
