Miss Gambler turns three tomorrow...
Just a note to announce my baby's birthday, and I would invite you all if I could! My husband and I plan on taking her to her favorite place, Starbucks, then out to dinner with us, and a nice walk somewhere. This is what we did on her 1st and 2nd. Oh, and I make lemon cupcakes, her favorite.

THE ( MISS ) GAMBLER
Caught up with Miss Gambler on a train bound for nowhere. She was sitting by a window and looking full of glee. I took time to ask her why she seemed so happy. She smiled at me and said she had just turned three. So I handed her my water jug, And we took turns to swig a drop. And Miss Gambler got the giggles and offered me a hug, And said if you're going to play the game, you've got to know when to stop. You've got to know when to chew, know when to swallow, know when to hold on tight, know when to run. You never count you hairs when you're sitting at the table. There'll be time enough for countin' when the shedding's done. Her face turned deeply red with black on her nose, Miss Gambler quietly said: friend, here's how it goes, I've got four hands and everyone of them can lose or win Depending on the way you use your adrenelin. .............. to be continued.............. Michael:
Thank you so much for the poem, I am going to treasure it, Miss Gambler has a really cute baby album that I am definately going to add your poem to. Also, let me add that I really enjoy reading your comments and any advice that benefits my Corgi is greatly appreciated. A fun and informative site such as this one was a great find, and having a job that keeps me on the computer does have it's benefits, such as having the time to check out this site! Take care, and love your corgi! |

Fluffypants: I am just going to use a basic yellow cake mix and jazz it up with some lemon zest and juice and topped with raspberries. (And to be honest with you, the juice is orange juice because lemon juice is too tart, there, you know my secret! This is actually a dessert item at a restaurant in Las Vegas, where I lived until I married a few years ago, and one of Gambler's favorite treats. Corgis do love their food, don't they? Miss Gambler literally drools and constantly licks her lips when she sees her food. I have had this picture in my head for quite some time for a commercial that has a row of Corgis getting ready to eat, all drooling. Can't you just hear that song Anticipation by Carly Simon???
PS Miss Gambler loves her morning orange juice, and it is good for a dog also. Take care, and love your corgi! |
