Well, we got it done today. Shippo is neutered. He's currently in an e-collar, which I hate... he can barely get around, and he barely fits in his crate. I over-nighted a BiteNot collar in the hopes that it will make it easier for him to get around. The vets says he has to wear SOMETHING for 7 days. I really hope this BiteNot collar works...
In the meantime I have to figure out how to confine him while I'm sleeping... An exercise pen is going to cost me around $75, so I'm not sure if that's an option right now. Heck, maybe I'll loop the leash around the leg of the couch and sleep on the couch tonight... I'm not sure what else to do... >;.;<

Cheetah, I have to comment on your last sentence - I did that very same thing the night Cody came home. He seemed uncomfortable the night after his neutering and was whining in his crate(something he never did), so I slept on an air mattress on the floor with Cody next to me(what we won't do for our fur kids) and for Cody's neutering, I never used an E-collar, but a Size 3 Toddler onesie(t-shirt; short sleeve, that snaps in the crotch) only I switched it around so the snaps came up over his back - anyway, I bought a couple of them and they worked and he looked darn cute in them also. He wore it for about 5 days and then after that really never bothered the incision.

When Chip was neutered, he didn't have to wear an e collar and he left his little incision alone. I put him in his crate overnight and the next day he was back to normal. Pain medicine was only give once or twice. I was very fortunate. Good luck on finding a solution. Poor baby.

Dillon had a more extensive neuter becuase he had the two sites for incisions, he had one undescended testicle so they went into the abdomen for that one as well. He was also good - but not perfect. He wore a soft elizabethan collar ( by the way it took me a minute e-collar i though was one of those electric collars! I though, hmm she will give him a zap when he goes to chew??? LOL) but they dont work well. I also slept on the floor with him in his crate the first night and kept my eyes on him. He was fine after the first night, and left his stiches alone. I Love lindas idea...next corgi will have a baby tshirt! cute

We had the same thing Emilie, as Cody had the undescended testicle also. The T-shirt idea came from my vet. It helps not to have a tail, The T-shirt helped to keep his tummy dry also(as it was spring) at that time. I also had two of them and did wash them; don't want our fur babies looking un kept

He tries to go after his stitches so I can't take it off unless I'm right there feeding him or something. >X.x;<
Well last night I put him in my bigger dog's crate and he did okay. I was super worried though, and that crate is in the livingroom so I slept on the couch lol...
This morning, he gulped down WAY too much water, and vomitted it back up... >-.-< So, looks like we'll have to take water in small, frequent doses for now. He doesn't want to eat his kibble, even watered down... but I managed to get a spoonful of pumpkin down. I suppose I'll have to take it slow. It's been so long since I've had a pet fixed (most of them came fixed lmao)! He's going potty like normal so that's good.
The BiteNot collar will be here tomorrow probably, since I ordered it after 12 PM yesterday... I guess I'll be spending another night on the couch... >-.-<
Shippo is laying here at my feet looking pathetic lol... It's going to be a long 7 days... >@_@<

At first, it's a bit scary to see your corgi in pain or discomfort. I was like that with Milo and he just got neutered 3 weeks ago. Bare in mind, they bounce back quickly and healthy especially if your corgi is young. Neutering is still less complicated than spaying. Just give your corgi plenty of rest and not let him go after his stitches. His appetite will come back slowly.
Good luck, Shippo!

Tucker had the E collar too and if I had it to do over, I wouldn't do it. He found out he could scratch his stitched using the E collar.
I had heard the idea of a 'onesie" too and sounds like a great idea. I put Tuck on the bed w/ me at night. I am a light sleeper and at that time was not used to him sleeping on the bed w/ me. So everytime he moves I woke up and made sure he wasn't scratching/licking the incosion. Fortunately, he was a good sleeper.
In hind site, it was the E collar that actually caused the trouble following his surgery.
Hope he's felling better soon!

Poor little guy. I hope he feels better soon. And I also used a onesie on Jackie, after she got spayed. She did look super-cute!
