Okay Michael, but it would be interesting to know. You were the one who mentioned in the first place that the judge favored Magic; so naturally my curiosity now wants to know why

Michael I too was curious. I favored the red and white but I am also partial to the sables and red and white and I saw the opportunity to learn from this and I agreed with Linda. We weren't implying anything, I simply wanted to know what the Judge and Debbie saw that I didn't see. Obviously from your post you know so why not share. They are both beautiful dogs as are all of our dogs on Go Corgi.

Michael was the one who did bring the judge into the discussion. Until he mentioned the judge's evaluation, I was going to keep my opinion to myself. Admittedly, I do tend to look at photos and dogs in person from a conformation/standard perspective, and show me a show photo - well that's going to be the eye I naturally look at a dog from.
Both of these girls are young and have some growing up to do and things can change. I also know very well how inaccurate a show photo can represent a dog. A great dog can be made to look like cr*p, a really bad dog can be made to look much better than it is. It all depends on how one stacks the dog, the dog holds a good stack, what kind a day everyone is having and even what is in the background at times. I don't know if permission was given by the breeder to share the photos with the list or with the judge, however, IF it were me and I were sharing photos I thought with a friend ONLY, I would NOT be pleased to receive an opinion given by a judge on my dog(s). IF I wished to solicit that, I can ask myself. Some breeders can get rather peculiar about this sort of thing. Debbie |
