All dogs originated from somewhere. Even Dingos who go back in time with the Australian Aboriginies, that's 40,000 years - originated from some place else

Pembrokes are thought to be related to the Valhunds - Spitz background. Cardigans came in from a different direction and are from the Teckel (hound) family which includes Doxies and Bassets.
