Duchess is beside me in the" computer room". She is always beside me or under my feet. Now she is whining, she needs to go out.
Later: Yesterday while in this room Duchess laid on her back for the first time since I have had her. I take that as an indication that she feels at home here. GlenCorgi said it sometimes takes a year to readjust to the trauma of changing families.( Not her exact words.) She is also starting to play or run with other dogs at the dog park. Little Parker, the seven month old corgi is the one that Duchess shows the most playfulness with. |

That is great news about Duchess getting comfortable and adjusting so well. I swear that DIllon loves other corgis better than other breeds... Maybe Duchess is like that too...It is great that she is playing and having fun too- sounds like she is a happy girl.

Well, Huw was in his puppy playpen today...Justin & I both had to work. As long as he has his peanut butter football thingy, he's a-okay. Could care less when we leave or come home, as long as he has that. I'd love to set up a camera and watch what he does all day...my guess is probably sleep and thrash his toys. I'm off this weekend, and will have all day Saturday and Sunday with my little boy. Time to try to gain back some of his affections (without food). Oooops...time to get out of here and go rescue my little boy from the kitchen.

I just love threads like these, where we get a glimpse of how we all spend our time with our four-legged pals. I would say that I'm going to be pulling out the suitcases, but since they never were put up, all I have to do is to fill them again. We'll be off to Las Vegas(husband in tow, YEAH! Someone to help me with the bags while shopping on Friday.) for Thanksgiving. Neither of us have any family so we will spend our Thanksgiving day playing slots, a little poker( I actually entered the World Series last year from a satellite game!) then eat a buffet meal COOKED BY SOMEONE ELSE!!! Miss Gambler really loves going with me to Las Vegas, I was even thinking about posting some photos during the trip from her point of view.

I often wonder what our dogs do when they are alone. I suspect Milo goes into his crate because when I come home he is either coming out of it to greet me or he's standing in it looking at me. I put treats on the sofa once, just to see if he gets on it while i'm out, and they are still there when I come home.

One day I will actually rent a "nanny cam" and hook it up.
Before Lulu I think Tuck spent the day chewing on furniture and my woodwork and sleeping. Now w/ Lulu I reall think they play a lot when I am gone. They are tired when I get home! If nothing else, THAT convinces me getting a 2nd was a good thing! PS: It's now Saturday night. Uncle Dave is here and so far they have had pizza, apples, have been in and out of the house every 5 minutes because Uncle Dave is a pushover and plays doorman for them.....

MGM - we would love to see pics of Miss Gambler's time in Las Vegas. It's Saturday night and we took Chip to Lowe's today and he got to play with some little tots - he just loves children. Chip has never seen a corgi. I just realized it after reading the post. One weekend we plan on driving over to visit his breeder and I wonder what his reaction will be.
