Crazy Corgi Story
So, today, I'm getting ready to take my shower, like always. Dudley, who follows me everywhere, is sitting next to the bathtub, like always. I turn on the water and let it run because it is normally too hot for me and it needs to cool down a bit. The next thing I know, Dudley jumps up to look into the bathtub to which I tell him, "You just had a bath yesterday, silly dog." Apparently Dudley doesn't agree because faster than I can say "No!," he jumps into the bathtub and precedes to pee!!
Apparently the sound of running water just made him have to go desperately and instead of peeing on my floor, he thought the bathroom would be better!! I couldn't even be mad at him; I just cracked up laughing! I just hope this doesn't become a habit

Now you just have to teach him to do that in the TOILET.

Jeni, That is a very funny story Cody has jumped into the bathtub, but only when the cat has been in there and he wants to join him(with no water, of course)Jessica, I think Dudley might need a step stool by the toilet in order for him to hit the target(maybe a floating disk inside would help him)

Wow, Dewey has been doing the exact same thing since his bath a few days ago. We have to make sure we leave the bathroom door shut down because every few minutes we'd hear a THU-THUMP! which is the sound of Dewey tumbling into the tub.
He has pee'd and pooped in there. -_- |

And Dewey's mom, it's nice to know that Dudley isn't the only nasty corgi on this website Where do they learn their bathroom habits. Also, Dudley better never even dream of pooping in my bathtub. We would definitely have to brawl

For a while Rhys was fond of jumping into the bathtub...but he never did his business in there! Thank goodness!
That is too funny about Dudley...AND Dewey.

ok this is a funny story for sure. First off Dewey's dad, better in the tub than on the rug. And that brings me to my bathroom story- My angel kitty, Clinton would jump in the tub. I never knew what he was doing, just thought he was investigating...well one day i watched him, he was peeing directly down the drain...at first i was mortified...then relieved...better down the drain than on a rug, becuase anyone who has a male cat know that cat pee smell is impossible to completely get out of a rug. I just made sure to run hot water down the drain of that tub before i ever got in there for my showers... The tub in our master bedroom is a garden tub so he has no chance of ever jumping in there ( or out when he is being bathed!) but the other tub in the house is low enough he COULD jump in but he still doesn't realize that he can.

Wicca's favorite place is the tub! She isn't particularily fond of baths but she loves running water. I have seen and heard her jump into the tub- not very gracefully I might add, and then bark and bite at the tap. She thinks it is the best game!
Sam has a healthy fear for the bathtub and is just mortified when she gets in there. He runs out, tail tucked and hides in his crate.... Neither of them have pee'd in there thankfully!

Wow. . I'd be thrilled if Tex is excited about getting into the tub . .my husband usually has to take his shirt off to give her a bath. . because most likely, he's gonna get more of a bath than she is!
But it's just adorable after they come out wrapped up in the towel. . all wet. Priceless! |

Cindy - I almost spit water all over my desk! That was hysterical!
![]() I agree that in the tub is better than on the rug. Years ago, my rommates' cat used to use the tub as her litterbox . . . and not just for peeing like Emilie's sweet Clinton! She would poop right on the drain (and sometimes DOWN the drain, because it was one of those old fashioned ones where you pull the stopper out). That was NOT a pleasant surprise early in the morning when you have to get ready for work!! And I asked them why they didn't just get her a litter box, as she was clearly not going outside enough . . . get ready for this . . . they said . . . because litter boxes are GROSS. ummm . . . hello? And, like Tex's parents, hubby and I have to change into old clothes to give my princess a bath. She hates to get wet, and she exacts her revenge on us by making sure that we get soaked as well!!!
