Well this past weekend, the girlfriend, her daughter, and I went to the Pet Expo in Novi, MI. They had all sorts of household pets including dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, birds, reptiles, and of course a tiger. <----from a rescue sanctuary. They had pretty much everything you could imagine. They had booths for all sorts of cool dogs like the Cairn Terrier, Schipperke, Siberian Husky, and Border Collie. And of course they had booths for some god awful dogs or should I say dogs I'm not a fan of like Bulldogs and the Bichon Frise. God, even the name Bichon Frise has such an arrogant tone to it. I was disapointed to find that neither one of the Corgi breeds were represented. Oh, and I was pissed to see them not get their due. Not to mention the fact that they were selling eight ounce beers for $4. Four Dollars, you gotta be kidding me. I did get a Miami Dolphins next bandanna for Lady to wear during the Thanksgiving day game against the home team Detroit Lions (who the Dolphins are going to crush by the way). They also had a agility kinda thing where they brought dogs out to do tricks and run the course. They had the splash dogs too, where they jump off a platform into a pool of water. I was bummed out too that there wasn't a flyball show. I would of really liked to see that. I also realize just how lucky I am to have gotten my Corgi dog instead of the Boston Terrier that I had originally given thought to getting. I am not a fan of those dogs either now. So I give the overall grade of the Expo a C-. I graded it on how much Corgi and Corgi stuff was represented and although there were quite a few Corgi items for sale, they forgot just one thing: THE CORGI. JR

Next time you're thinking of going to a Pet Expo, contact the organisers beforehand and ask them what is Corgi about the show. That will save you a lot of stress, time and money if the response is a negative.

Well it must have been a disappointment not to see corgis there.
And if you don't like paying $4 for beer . . . don't go to a Yankee game!

What we call a 'pint' of beer (from a pint bottle) costs around $4.50 in New Zealand from most places unless you are buying special imported beer - and that could add anything up to $2.50 a glass. But the leading brands of NZ beer are very good - much better than British beer and most if not all of the Australian beers.
