Hi Kristi,
I tried the "splitter" or tandem leash thing, with Rupert and Riley. I found that as there wasn't a lot of distance between them, that the much heavier Rupert ended up dragging poor Riley around. The poor girl would be tinkling and he'd see something and yank her over with him, mid tinkle. See if someone you know has one you can borrow to see how it will work. With Zip being so much bigger than Zia, it may be harder to walk them that way.

I tried it with Digger and Lady and the same thing. One would want to go one way and one wanted to go the other.

I tried the double leash as well and didnt like it. They never want to go the same direction.
Sometimes it gets comical trying to walk both of mine. Today we were walking through our neighborhood at lunch trying to get Darci to poop, and I dropped Egans leash. Thank the lord he just stood there at looked at me and I calmly walked over and picked up his leash. Theres no real traffic and we are on a dead end street with trees all around. I am just so glad he didnt take off, gave me a bit of scare.

I am going to try and teach Chip and Dale to walk together on separate leashes. Hopefully it will work

I have a spliter too. It is funny when they haven't used it for a while - Emma likes to take her time (like me) and Chloe wants to see/be everywhere! Chloe ends up dragging Em along mid pee and Emma always ends up being the tangled one. Usually only use it when we travel and after a few walks together they get their rhythm going.
