My poor baby

I just got back home from my mom's house last night. Poor little Andy had been peeing more often than usual, but I assumed it was due to the changed environment at mom's. Well, last night she kept trying to go out and potty, plus she kept licking at her *private area*. I think my baby has a urinary tract infection!

I know, it's nothing too serious - but I had to drop her off at the vet this morning and leave her. *sniff* I just felt bad having to leave her, but they didn't have a convenient appointment until Wednesday (and I want her to feel better asap).

*sigh* Just had to get it off my chest. Glad ya'll are here to listen.

Ahh, don't worry Tana she'll be fine. I bet they spoil her there. My vet only has about 3 Corgis in their practice and mine are adored and treated like the Royalty they are!

You are a good owner and they will take good care of her; and if she were my dog, I would want her to feel better asap also. Let us know how she is doing.

Well, our vet gave Andy some antibiotics for now - BUT, she wonders if Andy might be a "crystal producer" - struvites. My vet said she had seen it in Corgis before. If that's the case, she will probably have to go on Hill's C/D prescription food - for life! I mean, if that's the worst thing that happens, that is certainly not terrible.

But, it's all pending a urine culture. They told me that they should know results by Thursday.
