That is so sad. was the red cocker a puppy when she died? How old was snuggles when he died. I am glad that Lucy is healthy. Is Lucy a dog or a goose? cockers do come in mixed colors so that isn't unusual.

Frankly I find it sad that a 10 year old Cocker has to live her life outside. You mentioned before that she was losing her hearing. Minnesota and Wisconsin are pretty similar in the temperatures that we experience year round and I would not leave a 10 year old dog outside to spend its days during the winter - I would assume you have some type of insulated dog house for her. Also, the weather is getting colder and how do you keep her drinking water from freezing? Does she ever get to come inside and be around humans? You said she was your sisters, but you referred to Lucy as your dog before - is your sister in school like you and who gives the old girl attention outside, during the day in this cold weather?
You have had about 17 pets in your life time - are you including other things besides dogs and cats, and other than the ones that died early, did your parents keep these other animals until they died of natural causes? |

Frankly Corgimom, It is a little annoying that you always have something nagative to say to me. You don't know anything about me or my dog Lucy. Do don't know anything about where I live and you seem to always have an attitude and think I am stupied or something. DON'T YOU THINK IF I COULD CHANGE IT I WOULD!!!!!! We tired to potty train her and she just wouldn't. You act like a just shove her in a cage and throw food at her once in a while. I give her fresh water as much as I can so it doesn't freeze. So don't judge me. I do everything to make her confortable. I put her before myself. You you have the nerve to tell me that I am doing something wrong. I don't want to hear it anymore. |

Whatever I am just not going to ask you guys anymore questions. This is perhaps the worst I have ever been treated. So I don't care anymore. I am done. Good bye I have done nothing wrong from the start. You don't understand anything about the situation. You guys all think it is my fault. I have tried until my face is blue to get my mom to let me have her in the house. I don't want her out there as much as you do. I think about it all the time. I hate that she has to be out there. I can't move out, I can't get her in a place unless I move out. I can't cause it is way to expensive around here. I wanted everything for her when she first came here. It's not my fault I just couldn't do anything about it I was only eight years old.

IMO, if you agree with these thoughts then you should not be a vet. We need vets that will help us care for our animals not work to ban them. Peggy |

The breeder should be the first place you go for advice. You can ask on list too. And maybe the breeder will have a collar on the puppy already. I do with my puppies and usually send that collar home with the puppy. I buy cheap collars for puppies becuse they outgrow them very quickly. I use the nylon buckle collars. Size 8 or 10 inches usually. Depends on the age and size of the puppy. Peggy |
