Calendar Talk
Amanda, Manymuddypaw's, calendars seem to have been lost in the mail and I have sent her new ones expidited mail so she should have them by Tuesday. Graciously, Amanda has said you can go ahead and talk details, ask questions about the calendars.
First me. Thank you all for trusting in me to create them and for sending me the wonderful photos. Once I decided on the title for the calendar, it wasn't hard to figure out which photo would be the cover and of course who would grace the back side . I was very dissappointed not to have had a photo of Miss Montrose in her new cart for the calendar after her cart fitting was missed due to bad weather. The day CorgiMum posted the first photos, the calendar was at the printers being produced. I called them, got them to stop and had them email me the file back. I downloaded the photo of Montrose, added it to the calendar and sent it back. I was so happy to get it in - and Barbara was totally surprised and touched to have it in. I tried to be fair and fit all the photos in as best I could. Everyone got at least 3 photos of their dogs in the calendar - even if you didn't send me 3! I had three months with no birthdays to come up with ideas so I could get everyone in. It was neat to see how many Corgis live in pairs - and it looks like next year will be a new record with all the new pups coming. I will be sending $75 to CorgiAid for them to buy a postal scale and postage to help expidite carts to dogs in great need. Thank you everyone who bought the calendar and for those of you who added a wee bit extra to the price - it was very kind of you. If anyone is interested in another calendar - or if you didn't get one, let me know by email. I am out, but depending on how many people want them, more could be produced. Thanks for all of the compliments and kind words about the calendar - it really made it worth while! Deb |

Deb,
The calander is so colorful and I loved the backgrounds that you used on the pages. I thought the picture you used of Riley in the snow was so fitting; it was one of my favorites of her because she looked happy and carefree as any corgi should. I am sure she was looking down on you and gave her stamp of approval for the lovely job you did in remberance of her. How great it was also that Miss Montrose got to get a picture of herself(with her wheels) in. I was surprised to see a picture of Cody in there, that I knew I had not sent you and it fit in perfectly on the summer time fun page. One of my most favorite pages was of the Princess and her Princess friend

The calendar is just perfect! I know we've all thanked Deb a million times already but, she deserves them all! Thanks again Deb! It is great to see pictures of all our extended corgi family like this. I will be sad to cover up the cute January pictures when February comes....

I love the whole calendar! The quality of the pictures, the layouts and paper makes it as nice or nicer than any out there. But my favorite part is your tribute to Riley and Monty.
Leah had fun finding all the pictures of Emma and Chloe Belle. She also loved the fact that she "knew" most of the corgis pictured. Again thanks for all your time and effort - we appreciate your gift to us

My son was looking at the calendar. He said, "hey, there's a dog named Zia in here." I said, "yeah, that's your sister!" He had forgotten that she was going to be in a calendar. The tribute to Riley and Monty gave me goosebumps. Everybody that I have shown the calendar to loved it, especially the back cover.

I was speechless when I opened my package and there was my Chip on the front cover. I almost started blubbering and I just loved the back cover too. I never dreamed that my Chip would be there. I am extremely impressed with the quality of work that Deb displayed when putting this calendar together. The thought and the feelings for each of our corgi babies was expressed page after page. The tribute to Riley and Monty was beautiful. I have shared this calendar with everyone within reach and all have commented on the quality. Uncle JIM

I gave a copy to Chip's breeder yesterday and she was thrilled with it. I took one to work and look at it several times a day.
Deb - there isn't enough words to thank you for the enjoyment that everyone will have all throughout the year of this calendar. Your thoughtfulness and kindness will be appreciated for a long time and as an added bonus, we got to help other little corgis out along the way.

Thanks everyone - it really means a lot to me that you all like it so much, and I'm glad my indulgences with the tribute to Riley and putting my own quotation in the calendar didn't offend anyone! I know a lot of us lost some very special dogs and cats in our lives this past year, I jusy wanted to make sure they were "there" too.

I loved the tribute to Riley & Monty - the whole introduction / dedication page brought tears to my eyes. And it was fun to point out each corgi to my husband, and give him a brief bio. To his credit, he listened patiently to all of my stories. It's amazing how attached you can get to people and dogs you have never seen in person. And we all know how I feel about corgi butts, so I loved the back cover!!! The fact that it was MY dog's butt did help, but a corgi butt is a corgi butt - they are all irresistible! Thanks again Deb, and you did a wonderful job!
PS - Linda - I love that (unsubmitted) shot of Cody and the ball on the Summer Fun page. My coworker (whom I gave a copy of the calendar to) also gets quite a chuckle from that pic whenever she looks at it!
