Looking for Blue Merle Cardi... - 01-24-2007, 07:48 PM

is like trying to find a needle in a haystack! I know they're out there cause I've seen em! LOL!

My husband and I have been wanting to add to our little family and get a sister for Ein. I've used the map on the CWCCA (?) site every couple of months but I never seem to find one in time.

Other places to look or call?

Thanks!

Wow, we have been looking for one too! They are definitely hard to come by. The ones we have seen are already spoken for. We plan to bide our time until one practically falls in our laps! Good luck in your search!

We were looking for a blue merle as well. Dudley's breeder had a few, but they were spoken for as well...the search continues for the elusive blue merle

All three of you should pool your resources and maybe you will get a pup from the same litter. Or are Blue Merles a rarity? I saw a Blue Merle in my area, or I think he was one. It was over a year ago and he is a lovely color.
I bet you get some responses. With all the readers of this website, there should be someone who knows of a litter.

I just happen to know where there will probably be some puppies this spring.

jprechel,Jeni D, Ms. Jane Austen and glencorgi,

Thank you all for your replies! :>

jprechel- Yeah they're a popular dog all right! We've been trying to do the "fall in our lap" route too, actually more like the " hoping to open the front door one morning and there just happens to be a Blue Merle Girl just sitting on the doorstep" route. Sadly it ain't working. We believe in faeries and all so why won't they deliver us a new Corgi puppy?! LOL! ;>

Jeni- Those Blue Merles are snatched up so quick it's not even funny! I do hope that you'll find one soon... :>

Ms. Jane Austen- My goodness! People will never believe I've "chatted" with you! LOL! ;>
Pooling funds sounds like a good idea. I think though it's a matter of once you actually FIND a litter or upcoming litter then you've got to act quickly or your chance will be gone. I hope that I get some good responses too. Thank you! :>

Glencorgi- Ah! Care to share that info? :>

Dragonfly

our Glencorgi has a sister who breeds cardigans. I think if you send Debbie an email she would be glad to put you in contact with her sister so you two can talk... if she is unable to help you chances are she knows someone in the cardi world that you can talk with. So I would say this is the equivalent of a little cardi falling into your lap! Good luck on your search...
