Congrats on your new home! It is exciting to have a new place to call home!
Well, it doesn't hurt to get on all fours (dog level) and view your rooms from the perspective of the dog. In a Corgi's case, guess you'll be on your belly!!
What is in reachable? I would make sure electrical cords are out of the way. Even if they don't chew them, you don't want them getting caught up on a lamp cord while seriously frapping and end up with a smashed lamp on the floor.
I'd also make sure plants are out of Corgi reach, and that your trash cans have a lid on them or are behind a closed door or cabinet.
Guess you have to know what naughty behavior your Corgi is most likely to engage in and then make the arrangements to prevent it. Good luck!

Corgi proof your new home?
Why, just keep all doors leading into your house, closed.

Your Buta is such a sweet girl. She wont be up to no good....unlike some of our little rascals. Do you really need to corgiproof it for her? :-)

What does she do now that you would like to be able to control or reduce in the new house??? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Either Hayashi-eri is over-excited over her new apartment - and who wouldn't be excited anyway - or has failed to explain or expand on this business about making her new apartment suitable for Buta.

So we need more imput from her. Here's one idea for those wanting to make a house interesting for their Corgi - build a slide alongside an internal staircase - because a lot of Corgis would find it fun to slide down instead of stepping down and also racing up a slide instead of using the stairs.

Michael, maybe she should also make certain pathways around furniture and such, just wide enough for crazy frapping! LOL

"maybe she should also make certain pathways around furniture and such"

I agree, but find it amusing, since our dogs, Corgis and Border Collies, find the space between bookcase and sofa, that was a neat path when they were puppies, becomes impassable as they grow older. All they can do is lie on their bellys and reach for their toys that they have stashed in the cubby hole.

Our biggest puppy problem with both of ours was loose electrical cords like lamp cords etc.

Both of ours liked them.

Ah, someone kind of touched on it. Corgi proofing: ensure all electric cords are right out of the way of a fast moving Corgi because we don't want them tripping on a cord and then maybe causing some electrical disaster or some object to fall down.
