However this is NOT a reputable breeder. There are no champions, no show pictures. They're not show quality dogs. They are her own dogs, dogs she bred, and IMO that is NOT a rescue dog. The ones she is selling are hers of her breeding. And I understand she's asking $1,200 for at least one of them? I've heard stories like this before. Breeder going out of business. They sell off their current stock and then buy younger dogs and start breeding again, or go into a new breed. Sorry too many red flags to make me suspicous of her. If she puts the dogs in the shelter then legitimate rescue groups can step in. Util then, IMO, she's on her own, and I do not recommend anyone bail her out. Peggy |

Yes I saw she was asking $1200 for one of her stud dogs. Thing is that dog should have been cut a long time ago. He is not show breed quality from what I can see from the pictures.
My red flag that I was seeing a lot in her web site is that a lot of the dogs have alergies and it seems to be in every generation. Also most of her pups and older dogs the ears where not up as they should have been. Heidi |

I do not believe I ever said she was. I only stated that a breeder can also be a rescue. Which seemed from the first few post that people where downing her for doing both. I know a lot of people who rescue do not believe you can do both. I do not believe that is true. I believe you can and should.

I think that the point being made was not that a breeder can't rescue also, it is that THIS particular breeder is misusing the title "rescue" and is CLEARLY not a responsible/ reputable breeder nor any kind of rescue organization.

I agree 100% with Debbie- I belong to a rescue group in my area- 4 years ago when I first started there were far too many of those "I just loooove doggies" involved- we were sinking hundreds of dollars into dogs that were not adoptable. As cold as that sounds it is a fact of rescue- people generally don't want dogs that are 12 years old and on three legs. They don't want the dog that jumps through glass windows, and chews through drywall when left alone, they don't want the dog who has killed cats and nipped at children. Far to many rescue people are too soft. You can't save them all. Unfortunately that is just the way it goes. Even now- after we have weeded out the "collectors" and "do-gooders" it is still a problem sometimes to resist the urge to try to save just this one. It is people like the above mentioned lady, and people who just have to have a litter because their dog is just so cute, and the people who won't take responsibility and spay/neuter that there are too many to save..... -amanda
