Thanks guys! The breeder joked that it looks like Maya has a Marilyn Monroe mole on her face
 Emilie, I'm sure you are as excited as I am, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high in case the weather stops us from going. I hope the weather works out for you too because I'm sure Gus is ready to come live with you  ColColt: I'm hoping Dudley will welcome the new addition. It's going to be a change for all of us, but Dudley has always liked other dogs, so keep your fingers crossed

Just a question about Maya's color. Do you guys think she will end up being the color of her head? I know that most of the brown will probably fade out as she gets older. Dudley darkened the older he got into the chocolatey brown brindle color he is now. When we first got him, he was much lighter, at least the back half of him was. Is this the same for reds? Just curious
I wish I could post the full body picture of her, but I can't figure out how to resize it to get it on the site

Figured it out
Amazing what fiddling with some buttons can do Anyways, here is a picture of her whole body. I love all the white on her tail. Dudley, bless his little heart, only has a few white hairs that stick out the end of his tail. They bob around when he runs and it is the funniest thing ever. Looks like Maya will have quite a bit of white on her tail

Maya is so precious! She has very nice markings. Love the tail! Ace has a white tip like that and we love it. I'll bet Dudley will have a great time with her. We'll keep our fingers crossed for good weather for next weekend.

Oh Jeni... she is gorgeous! I can almost smell the puppy breathe from here... the sweetness is just too much! Here's hoping for the best weather ever next weekend for your trip! I'm sure she and Dudley will do great together.

She looks adorable - and it's good that her blaze is symetrical now, it will probably stay that way - like the Dudsters.
Can't wait to hear about all of her antics with big brother!

adorable...She is just simply adorable! Love Maya's coloring and that serious expression.
Can you tell us a little about what the breeder thoughts were on how Maya was the best match for you two and Dudley? One of the other threads touched on matching people to their puppy so it's fresh on my mind...

From the looks of this picture she will be a red. She may darken a bit as her adult coat comes in, but the color on her head is probably what you'll get. Any brownish puppy color should fade.
She doesn't look like a sable, if that's what anyone was thinking. Peggy
